According to Goreunit, a complete artillery battery of the Pakistan Army was reportedly destroyed in the Poonch sector during the night of April 6 to 7 following a precision strike by the Indian Army.
• 6 artillery guns were destroyed
• 2 officers and multiple other ranks (ORs) were among those hit
• 13 Pakistani Army fatalities were reported in the area
In retaliation, Pakistani forces allegedly targeted an Indian post shortly after the strike.
This event, though unconfirmed by official defense ministries, fits into the pattern of escalating cross-border artillery and air activity along the LoC in Jammu & Kashmir.
