On the intervening night of 08 and 09 May 2025, the Pakistan Armed Forces launched multiple attacks using drones and other munitions along the entire Western Border. Additionally, Pakistani troops resorted to numerous ceasefire violations (CFVs) along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

The drone attacks were effectively repulsed, and a befitting response was delivered to the CFVs.

The #IndianArmy remains firmly committed to safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Nation. All nefarious designs will be met with force.

The United States has announced the creation of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) — a new aid initiative intended to deliver humanitarian assistance directly to civilians in Gaza, bypassing Hamas and other militant groups.

What is the GHF?

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation is an NGO backed by the U.S. and supported by Israel. It aims to operate independently of the United Nations and establish a secure aid delivery network free from interference by militant actors like Hamas.

How will it work?
• Four secure distribution centers will be established, each serving around 300,000 people — totaling coverage for 1.2 million residents.
• Aid such as food and medicine will be transported by armored vehicles operated by private logistics partners.
• Security contractors, not the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), will protect these delivery points.

Who is involved?

Former World Food Programme director and Nobel Peace Prize laureate David Beasley is reportedly in talks to lead the foundation. Nate Mook, former CEO of World Central Kitchen, has also been mentioned as a possible participant.

Controversy and Concerns

The plan has drawn skepticism from the UN and other international aid agencies, raising concerns about coordination, neutrality, and operational independence on the ground.
