🇺🇸🇵🇸New Foundation: Details of Washington’s Plan to Distribute Aid in Gaza
[Source: https://hdth.tv/bh0tn]

The United States has announced the creation of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) — a new aid initiative intended to deliver humanitarian assistance directly to civilians in Gaza, bypassing Hamas and other militant groups.

What is the GHF?

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation is an NGO backed by the U.S. and supported by Israel. It aims to operate independently of the United Nations and establish a secure aid delivery network free from interference by militant actors like Hamas.

How will it work?
Four secure distribution centers will be established, each serving around 300,000 people — totaling coverage for 1.2 million residents.
• Aid such as food and medicine will be transported by armored vehicles operated by private logistics partners.
Security contractors, not the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), will protect these delivery points.

Who is involved?

Former World Food Programme director and Nobel Peace Prize laureate David Beasley is reportedly in talks to lead the foundation. Nate Mook, former CEO of World Central Kitchen, has also been mentioned as a possible participant.

Controversy and Concerns

The plan has drawn skepticism from the UN and other international aid agencies, raising concerns about coordination, neutrality, and operational independence on the ground.

🇮🇳🇵🇰On May 9, 2025, Indian Army Colonel Sofiya Qureshi reported that a preliminary investigation revealed the use of Turkish-made SONGAR drones in a large-scale drone offensive launched by Pakistan. According to Col. Qureshi, between 300 and 400 drones were deployed across 36 locations along the Line of Control (LoC) and the western border, targeting Indian military installations. She noted that both kinetic and non-kinetic methods were employed to neutralize these drones, and an attempted UAV strike on a military station in Bathinda was successfully thwarted by Indian forces .

The Indian Express, citing Col. Qureshi, stated that the Pakistani army attempted to attack military installations along the entire LoC and western border. The discovery of Turkish-origin drone debris suggests a potential escalation in the technological capabilities employed in the conflict.

In response to these developments, Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh confirmed that Operation Sindoor is ongoing and has resulted in the elimination of at least 100 terrorists in strikes targeting terror camps within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He emphasized that the operation has met its intended goals .

The situation remains tense, with both nations exchanging accusations and military actions, raising concerns over further escalation in the region.

On May 8, 2025, during the escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan, debris from a 48N6 missile—part of the Russian-made S-400 Triumf air defense system operated by India—was discovered in the village of Jathuwal near Amritsar, Punjab. According to Indian Defence Research Wing (IDRW), the remains showed signs of charring and explosion, indicating the missile likely detonated near its intended target.

The 48N6 missile has a range of up to 250 km and is capable of intercepting aircraft, drones, and cruise missiles at altitudes of up to 60 km. During the operation known as “Sindoor,” the Indian Air Force deployed the S-400 system—referred to domestically as “Sudarshan Chakra”—to repel multiple Pakistani aerial attacks, including drones and missiles targeting military facilities and civilian areas across northern and western India.

While the presence of S-400 debris in Pakistani territory has not been independently verified, India’s use of the system during the recent conflict is widely documented. The system’s performance in neutralizing aerial threats was highlighted by multiple outlets, underscoring its pivotal role in protecting India’s airspace.

The S-400 remains a key component of India’s air defense architecture, working alongside other systems such as the Akash and Barak 8 to provide layered protection against diverse threats.
