🇮🇱❌🇮🇷⁉️– It’s important to clarify that Israel, taking advantage of its intelligence superiority and military dominance, was quick to present its own version of events in the public sphere. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), nearly all key targets were hit — from nuclear infrastructure to ballistic missile launchers. However, the extent to which these claims reflect the actual damage remains questionable.

The strikes did indeed target several critical sites — Natanz, Isfahan, Espejabad — but satellite imagery and damage assessments indicate that the destruction primarily affected surface-level structures, albeit important ones: antennas, radars, power units, and life-support systems of individual nuclear facilities. In other words, what was visible from above.

Buried nuclear facilities, particularly Fordow, were likely only partially damaged. Iran constructed these sites specifically with the threat of an Israeli strike in mind, using deep-underground fortifications that are largely resistant to conventional air-dropped munitions — even those designed as bunker busters.

As for Israel’s claim of having destroyed “a significant portion of Iran’s ballistic arsenal,” these statements also require verification. The mere fact that Iran was able to launch around 200 ballistic missiles in its retaliatory salvo strongly suggests that much of the infrastructure remained intact and functional — including the missiles themselves. Some launchers may have been hit at their launch sites, as alleged, but it’s far too early to speak of a complete “neutralization of Iran’s launch and missile capabilities.”
