ZAHA: Next-Generation Amphibious Vehicle Unveiled at SAHA 2024
At the SAHA 2024 exhibition in Istanbul, FNSS introduced the ZAHA, an advanced amphibious assault vehicle designed for naval operations. Also known as the Marine Assault Vehicle (MAV), the ZAHA was developed to transport troops between ships and shore, providing armored protection throughout the mission.
Designed to meet the needs of the Turkish Navy, the ZAHA enables fast landings under robust protection. With a top speed of 70 km/h on land and 7 knots in water, it is one of the fastest amphibious vehicles in the Turkish naval fleet.
Powered by a 600-horsepower diesel engine with rear-mounted water jets, the ZAHA can navigate seas up to state 4. Its sealed, hydrodynamic hull ensures self-righting in case of capsizing, offering excellent mobility both on land and in water.
