In response to Warsaw’s claims that Russian drones intentionally violated Polish airspace during overnight strikes on Ukrainian military infrastructure, the Ministry highlights the corresponding statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.


The Defense Ministry reiterated that no targets in Poland were planned during the operations and emphasized that the drones involved have a maximum range of 700 km — contradicting Poland’s narrative.

According to Moscow, these facts fully refute Warsaw’s allegations, which aim to escalate the crisis further.

NATO Secretary General M. Rutte, after the Council meeting convened under Article 4 at Poland’s request, acknowledged that no concrete evidence was available and that the investigation is ongoing.

—To avoid misunderstandings and prevent further escalation, the Russian Ministry of Defense expressed its readiness to hold direct consultations with the Polish Ministry of Defense. The Russian Foreign Ministry also confirmed its willingness to participate in these discussions.
