Il Presidente Kais Saied ha emesso un decreto di licenziamento di 57 giudici per presunta corruzione, l'ultima di una serie di misure volte a consolidare il governo.
"È stata data un'opportunità dopo l'altra ed è stato emesso un avvertimento dopo l'altro affinché la magistratura si epuri", ha dichiarato il presidente Saied in un video pubblicato sulla pagina Facebook della presidenza nella tarda serata di mercoledì.
"Non possiamo ripulire il Paese dalla corruzione e dalla violazione della legge senza una completa epurazione del sistema giudiziario", ha dichiarato.
