🔴 واکسیناسیون کرونا در دنیا چقدر موثر بوده است؟
اکنون میزان واکسیناسیون در برخی کشورها به عدد قابل توجهی رسیده است و میتوان نسبت آمار بیماری در کشورها را با میزان واکسیناسیون مورد بررسی دقیق قرار داد.
❓ آیا افزایش واکسیناسیون با کاهش آمار فوت به عنوان مهمترین شاخص وضعیت بیماری در کشورها، همراه بوده است؟
در این نوشتار نگاهی به میزان واکسیناسیون در کشورها انداختهایم و تلاش کردهایم با گردآوری دادههای موجود وضعیت بیماری و تزریق واکسن در کشورها در سطح کلان به این پرسش پاسخ دهیم.
📍 تاکنون سرزمینهای اشغالی فلسطین و امارت متحده عربی به ترتیب با میزان ۱۲۱ و ۱۰۶ دوز در هر صد نفر، در این عرصه پیشتاز هستند و پس از آن به ترتیب کشورهای شیلی، بحرین، ایالات متحده، بریتانیا، مجارستان، صربستان، قطر و اروگوئه قرار دارند.
📍 بر این اساس در بین ۱۴۳ کشوری که جمعیت بیش از یک میلیون نفر دارند و واکسیناسیون در آنها آغاز شده، ایران با میزان تقریبی ۱.۲۷ دوز در هر صد نفر (۱۲۷۰۰ دوز در هر یک میلیون نفر) در جایگاه ۹۹ جهان قرار دارد.
🟢 بررسی دادههای واکسیناسیون و مرگ و میر بیماری نشان میدهد که تقریباً چهار هفته پس از رسیدن به محدودۀ ۴۰ تا ۵۰ دوز در هر صد نفر از جمعیت، تعداد مرگ و میر کرونا به صورت معناداری کاهش مییابد. تاثیر واکسیناسیون در کنترل بیماری در سطح کلان در دنیا کاملاً قابل مشاهده است.
🔹 اگرچه هنوز میزان تزریق روزانه واکسن در ایران هنوز با متوسط جهانی فاصله بسیاری دارد اما با توجه به رشدی که در روزهای اخیر داشته امید است در هفتههای پیشِ رو بتواند با سرعت بیشتری ادامه یابد و جانهای بیشتری را در برابر بیماری مصون بدارد.

In network science complex systems are represented as a mathematical graphs consisting of a set of nodes representing the components and a set of edges representing their interactions. The framework of networks has led to significant advances in the understanding of the structure, formation and function of complex systems. Social and biological processes such as the dynamics of epidemics, the diffusion of information in social media, the interactions between species in ecosystems or the communication between neurons in our brains are all actively studied using dynamical models on complex networks. In all of these systems, the patterns of connections at the individual level play a fundamental role on the global dynamics and finding the most important nodes allows one to better understand and predict their behaviors. An important research effort in network science has therefore been dedicated to the development of methods allowing to find the most important nodes in networks. In this short #review, we describe network centrality measures based on the notions of network traversal they rely on. We limit ourselves to a limited number of centralities. The subject is much vaster than the non-exhaustive list presented here.

Dr. Zangwill presents a biographical survey of the life and science of Nobel Laureate Philip W. Anderson, arguably the most productive and influential theoretical physicist of the second half of the twentieth century. He discusses Anderson's upbringing in the American Midwest during the Great Depression, his education at Harvard University, his service during WW II, and his subsequent career as a condensed matter physicist at Bell Laboratories, Cambridge University, and Princeton University. He shares the back story for some of his best-known scientific achievements and also for some of his forays into national and scientific politics. A few remarks about his activities as a public intellectual and his personal life round out the talk.
