"Force and violence are the ultimate sanction. When a major social conflict cannot be resolved through compromise, the issue is settled by physical force or the threat of it. The system never is and never will be satisfied with any stable situation - it seeks always to expand its power and will never permanently tolerate anything that remains outside of its control.
