VR System That Moves Your Body For You

The University of Chicago has developed a virtual reality system that simultaneously moves the user’s body while the VR is on.

The VR uses soft pads placed behind the neck instigating an electrical muscle stimulation that moves the player’s body. In a demonstration, the player’s head moved from the line of punch in a boxing game that showed how quick and safe these signals were providing an immersive experience.

Additionally, the system only initiates an involuntary movement and not interrupting the voluntary motions thus avoiding any risk of injury. Researchers feel that this development could change the VR & AR experiences of people to a great extent.

Airbag Helmet-Airoh

Airoh, an Italian company, collaborated with Autoliv, a Swedish safety components manufacturer, to design the airbag helmet. An Airoh airbag helmet is a type of helmet that protects the head with airbags in the event of a collision. The airbags deploy from the shell of the helmet and cushion the impact. In comparison to a traditional helmet, the result is said to create more energy absorption away from the rider’s head. The airbag helmet is said to cut the risk of a skull fracture in half.

A Robotic Gripper with a Sense of Touch

✅ MIT scientists and engineers comes with one of the best tech inventions in robotics and have developed a new robotic system that uses touch-enabled Fin Ray grippers. An advantage of these fins is that they conform to the surface of an object. Curling inward, they wrap around surfaces rather than bending away.

By embedding cameras inside the grippers, scientists were able to detect how the fingers deform when they are in contact with grasped objects and their precise determination of what the gripper is holding is based on measuring the gripper’s shape. This level of perfection therefore would help robots deal in a better way when facing human interaction.

Joystick Controlled Robotic Surgeon

Stroke or aneurysm endovascular operations require specialized training that takes years to master. The result is that only a few doctors can complete them, most of whom are located at large urban hospitals.🥺🥺

In the event of a stroke or aneurysm, there is a “golden hour” during which the patient can be treated without suffering any lasting consequences. You might have no problem recovering if you live within minutes of a major medical center, but if you live in an outlying area without access to specially trained surgeons, you might not.

As a result, scientists at MIT have developed a telerobotic surgical system based on a modified joystick that surgeons can use remotely to perform operations. An article in Science Robotics describes how the system navigates through blood vessels and reaches the location of clots to remove or break them up with a flexible magnetized guidewire.

Putting these systems in hospitals around the country and the world would allow surgeons in other cities to control them remotely, which could reduce response times, fatalities, and long-term disability rates. 😍🥰

درخشش مخترعان ایرانی در سیزدهمین دوره مسابقات جهانی اختراعات خاورمیانه در کشور کویت (IIFME 2023)


سیزدهمین دوره نمایشگاه بین المللی و تخصصی اختراعات كشور كويت (IIFME 2023) از تاریخ ۱۲ الی ۱۵ فوریه ۲۰۲۳ برابر با ۲۳ لغایت ۲۷ بهمن ماه ۱۴۰۱ زیر نظر و حمایت مستقیم امير كويت، سازمان ملی پیشرفت علوم کشور کویت (KFAS)، باشگاه علمي كشور كويت ، فدراسيون بين المللي مخترعين(IFIA)، سازمان مالکیتهای فکری ملل متحد (WIPO)، سازمان آموزشی، علمی و فرهنگی ملل متحد (یونسکو) و با حمایت سازمانهای علمی و تحقیقاتی و مراکز مرتبط با مخترعین در كشور كويت برگزار گردید.

در این دوره از نمایشگاه ۱۶۹ مخترع از ۳۴ کشور ازجمله اسپانیا، انگلستان، آلمان، آمریکا، کانادا، سوییس، مالزی، کره جنوبی، تایلند، چک، مراکش، عربستان، مصر، لبنان، جمهوری اسلامی ایران، عراق، بحرین و … اختراعات خود را به مدت ۴ روز به معرض نمایش گذاشتند.

مخترعان کشور جمهوری اسلامی ایران نیز طبق سنوات گذشته با ارائه ۱۹ اختراع در زمینه حمل نقل، ایمنی، الکترونیک، ابزار آلات، کامپیوتر و … در این عرصه بین المللی شرکت نموده و موفق به کسب رتبه های درخشانی گردیدند.

لازم به ذکر است در حاشیه این نمایشگاه، کنفرانس بین المللی ” فراتر از اختراع، جاده ای به سوی تجاری سازی” با حضور متخصصان حوزه نوآوری و سرمایه گزاران در اتاق بازرگانی شهر کویت برگزار گردید. سخنرانان این کنفرانس شامل ریاست بخش حقوقی سازمان مالکیت های فکری ملل متحد، ریاست فدراسیون جهانی مخترعان، ریاست هیئت داوران نمایشگاه بین المللی اختراعات کشور سوییس و ریاست سازمان ملی پیشرفت علوم کشور کویت به مدت ۲ ساعت در خصوص آخرین روش های تبدیل ایده به ثروت نقطه نظرات خود را با شرکت کننندگان به اشتراک گذاشته و درنهایت جلسه پرسش و پاسخ بین مدعوین و صاحب نظران این حوزه برگزار گردید.

همه دنیا به احترام زنان نوآور، روز جهانی مالکیت فکری ۲۰۲۳ را با عنوان زنان و مالکیت فکری: تسریع در نوآوری و خلاقیت، گرامی خواهند داشت.

جامعه از مردان و زنان تشکیل شده است که مسئولیت و استعداد مساوی را برای کمک به توسعه و ارتقاء جامعه دارند. استعداد نوآورانه زنان در طول تاریخ با مشارکت فعال آنها در بخش های مختلف جامعه تحقق یافته است و زنان نشان داده اند که در نوآوری هم سرآمد هستند.

از زمان آغاز به کار فدراسیون جهانی، Ifia به عنوان بخش مهمی از جامعه به زنان توجه ویژه ای کرده است و به همین دلیل ، در سال 1977 ، با اعطای اولین عضویت افتخاری به یک برنده جایزه نوبل زن ، این ادعا را در واقعیت نشان داد.

از سال 1996 ، IFIA با تشکیل شبکه مخترعین زنان ، این گروه تأثیرگذار و مهم را جزوی از ارکان اصلی خود میداند.
