Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has ordered the development of mining in the country. Addressing the new Minister of Energy Alexei Kushnarenko, Lukashenko said that the existing surplus electricity should be used to mine cryptocurrencies.
He drew the minister's attention to global trends. According to Lukashenko, Belarus should also engage in mining if it is profitable.
"Look at this mining. More and more people are turning to me. If it is profitable for us, let's do it. We have excess electricity. Let them make this cryptocurrency and so on. The President of Belarus noted that the US plans to create a cryptocurrency reserve mean that there will be demand for them. He instructed the minister to look into this issue and present his proposals on mining.
"Therefore, there will be demand for them (cryptocurrencies). Well, maybe we should do it ourselves. Why are we attracting some investors, selling them electricity? Although I do not rule it out. But we need to do it ourselves. There are such proposals. I think that you will step over this bureaucracy and report what needs to be done," Lukashenko added.

Президент Белоруссии Александр Лукашенко поручил развивать в стране майнинг. Обращаясь к новому министру энергетики Алексею Кушнаренко, Лукашенко заявил, что имеющийся избыток электричества нужно использовать для добычи криптовалют.
Он обратил внимание министра на глобальные тенденции. По словам Лукашенко, Белоруссия тоже должна заниматься майнингом, если это выгодно.
«Посмотрите по этому майнингу. Все больше людей ко мне обращается. Если нам это выгодно, давайте будем делать. У нас избыток электричества есть. Пускай делают они эту криптовалюту и так далее. Тем более вы видите, каким путем мир идет. И особенно крупнейшая экономика мира. Они вчера объявили, что в резерве будут держать...» — цитирует издание Лукашенко.

Президент Белоруссии отметил, что планы США создать резерв криптовалют означают, что на них будет спрос. Он поручил министру разобраться в этом вопросе и представить свои предложения по майнингу.
«Поэтому спрос на них (криптовалюты) будет. Ну, может быть, и нам самим это делать. Что ж мы привлекаем каких-то инвесторов, продаем им электроэнергию? Хотя я не исключаю это. Но надо самим делать. Предложения такие есть. Думаю, что вы перешагнете эту бюрократию и доложите, что надо делать», — добавил Лукашенко.

Каждый раз читая новости такого типа, я понимаю, что Bitcoin в 1.000.000$ это лишь вопрос времени, который решится в ближайшие 5 лет 🍕
