🤔 Is the banking era coming to an end?

The co-founder of Multicoin Capital said that the GENIUS law is the beginning of the end of banks’ ability to deceive depositors by paying them pennies.

Banks will have to increase interest on deposits, otherwise customers will switch to stablecoins with a yield 10 times higher.

Soon Meta, Google, Apple and other technology giants will be able to start issuing their own stablecoins with instant transfers, round-the-clock payments and built-in profitability.

🇮🇳 India is launching a digital currency to speed up transactions.

The Minister of Trade and Industry Pijush Goyal said that the new digital rupee is guaranteed by the Reserve Bank of the country (RBI) - like ordinary money, but on the blockchain.

Unlike Bitcoin, which the government considers a «unguaranteed asset», the digital rupee will become the official alternative to private cryptocurrencies.

What does it mean:
- Operations will be carried out instantly and safely.
- Each transaction will become transparent and trackable.
- The system will help fight shadow translations.

Goyal noted that the project is inspired by the American GENIUS law, which legalized stablecoins in the United States.
