Adding your PayPal account to your Curve wallet
So how does this work?
PayPal will act as any of your payment cards which you add to your Curve wallet - just sign into your PayPal account via the Curve app and you're ready to start spending!
To get set up, you'll first need a bank account, or eligible payment card attached to your PayPal wallet (AMEX and VISA cards are not eligible). Then you'll be able to switch between paying with your PayPal balance, or any of these cards at any time from the level of the PayPal app.
You'll also be able to pay using both the physical Curve card and your smartphone's digital wallet (e.g. Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay).
How is this different to my other payment cards in Curve?
PayPal has the same functionality as all your other payment cards in the Curve app, such as moving transactions, withdrawing cash at an ATM and earning cashback. You'll even be able to pay off your Curve Flex loans using PayPal!
Who is this available for?
PayPal in the Curve wallet is only available to customers with UK PayPal accounts.
Can I access all the benefits of PayPal through Curve?
You'll be able to continue earning your PayPal rewards as normal - and if you're on a premium Curve tier you can even double up and get twice as many rewards 🤑
When making transactions using your PayPal account through Curve, you are not covered by PayPal Purchase Protection. Rest assured however that you'll be covered by Curve Customer Protection instead!
Pay in 3 is also not available through Curve as it requires PayPal to be selected at checkout.

We’ve decided to terminate our embedded insurance and enable you to earn more cashback on your everyday purchases, making Curve an even more rewarding way to pay.
Double up on cashback💰💰
To give you more of what you love, we’re doubling the number of cashback retailers you can choose from, so you can earn more cashback from Curve on top of any rewards you already get with your banks or credit cards.
Curve Black customers can earn 1% cashback from 6 retailers of their choice.
Curve Metal customers can earn 1% cashback from 12 retailers of their choice.
In January 2024, you can choose your new set of cashback retailers. This is a great chance to change your current retailers if you want to switch things up.
We’ve also added hundreds of new retailers across the UK and Europe to maximise your cashback and we’re working on expanding rewards further in the coming weeks – watch this space.
When?
As of 31 December 2023, you will no longer be insured under your Curve premium plan. Our insurance partner AXA will continue to service all eligible claims for incidents preceding this date, as long as they are submitted in accordance with the applicable insurance terms and conditions.
