The Rite is a first-person horror video game that draws inspiration from themes and motifs of Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock printing.

🎮 the plot

A small mountain village used to prosper as long as the oath given to the local deity was kept. The day the villagers break their promise, the sky turns red, and mysterious creatures emerge from the woods.

Getting back to DAFES PROJECTOR🔦
 
Check out the interview with Yanek Iontef, a USSR-born type designer, typographer, and founder of Fontef, an independent typefoundry.
 
I would recommend looking back at our history and realising that everything had already been done before us; we just have better tools.

My motto is:
don’t try to invent anything before you have studied enough of the heritage.
I took up type design only after I’d seen some old letters on early 20th-century signs.
