From our contributor Alcibiades,
Big Rock Candy Ammunition Depot.
In light of some recent leaks that the Ukrainians have, once again, backed off attacking Transnistria (because it is and always has been a genuinely terrible idea and they don't have the troops for it) , I think it's worth taking a look at the fabled Cobasna Ammunition Depot. According to the usual story pushed by Western pseudo-analysts who went into journalism because they can't do math, it has enough ammunition to last for years of combat. But does it really?
Cobasna is generally said to contain something like 20,000 tons of ammunition. Which sounds like a lot and is a lot. However, 152mm artillery shells weigh a hundred pounds each. Which is also a lot. There's only 20 152mm shells per ton. As such, assuming that Cobasna is packed with nothing but 152mm artillery shells, Ukraine would be looking at a total haul of something like 400,000 shells should they capture the depot completely intact and the ammunition within is all usable and not rusted to oblivion and/or sabotaged.
Ukraine is generally said to fire something like 6,000 artillery shells per day, which works out to 180,000 rounds per month. Zelensky recently demanded a continual supply of 250,000 rounds per month out of NATO. As such even a completely successful operation to seize and empty the Cobasna depot in Transnistria - an operation absolutely fraught with enormous risks - would only be expected to feed the VSU's cannons for about two months.
People should stop acting like this is a realistic plan to solve the VSU's problems.

In 1952, the first team of six female pilots of the P.R. China flew six Lisunov Li-2 aircraft over the Tiananmen Square in Beijing for review on International Women's Day. These scenes were restored by artificial intelligence today in celebration of the achievements of women in China since the revolution of 1949.

Collective West media is having major copium today over Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang's comments on Russia-China relations: "With China and Russia working together, the world will have a driving force. The more unstable the world becomes the more imperative it is for China and Russia to steadily advance their relations."
“The conflict in Ukraine has become an event of tectonic proportions, which reshapes Russia's relations with the outside world and carries risks of military confrontation between Russia and the West unprecedented in decades." - US Intelligence statement
> why these cope lords insist on calling the West ‘the outside world’ is beyond me.
80% of the world don’t give a damn about Ukraine.

From a subscriber. At a recent game in Poland, fans displayed a banner saying "This is not our war."
A Polish club was fined for a banner of fans calling not to help Ukraine.
At the end of February, at the stadium in Wroclaw, during a match between Lech and the local Szlonsk, a banner was hung out regarding the situation in Ukraine. Fans hung a canvas with the innoscription "This is not our conflict." The poster was shown on television and removed from the podium ten minutes after the intervention of the match organizer.
“At a meeting on March 1, the League commission imposed a fine of 15,000 zlotys on Szlonsk for the behavior of the fans and the organization of the match with Lech. Penalty imposed for displaying a banner unrelated to the match ,” Sportowe Fakty was quoted as saying by the league.

NGO Party. Day 2. Georgia.
The Pentagon is blocking the Biden administration from sharing evidence with the International Criminal Court in The Hague gathered by American intelligence agencies about Russian atrocities in Ukraine, according to current and former officials briefed on the matter.
American military leaders oppose helping the court investigate Russians because they fear setting a precedent that might help pave the way for it to prosecute Americans. The rest of the administration, including intelligence agencies and the State and Justice Departments, favors giving the evidence to the court, the officials said.

Eduard Shevchenko, a veteran of Ukraine's war against the people of Donbass and a former senior officer within Ukraine's Naval Infantry was detained by the SBU as a Russian spy. After leaving the VSU he became an advisor to the Mayor of Ochakov, the town opposite the Kinburn Spit from which many raids have been launched against Russian positions on the Left Bank and attacks on the Black Sea fleet in Crimea.
The Russians who left for Georgia are returning to their homeland en masse because of the riots in Tbilisi. There was a traffic jam at the checkpoint.
“Against the backdrop of protests in Georgia, a traffic jam has formed at the Upper Lars checkpoint of those wishing to enter Russian territory,” eyewitnesses report, Izvestia reports on their telegram channel.
