🇱🇾🇮🇹 Libya flights to Italy resume after nearly 10 years
Flights resumed between Libya and Italy on Saturday after a nearly decade-long suspension due to a ban by the European Union.
Twenty-five passengers boarded Saturday's flight, operated by Libya-based Medsky Airways, which will offer a twice-weekly direct connection to the Italian capital, Rome.
The EU stopped flights operated by Libyan airlines and banned them from entering member states' airspace in 2014, as the country was mired in intense fighting.
For much of the past decade, Libyans have had to transit through cities such as Tunis, Istanbul, or Cairo to reach Europe by air.
Restarting flights is "part of intensive government efforts to lift the European ban on Libyan civil aviation", Libya's UN-recognised government said.

People are horrified: The number of dead mobilised from Lvov uncovered
Today Ukraine celebrates the "Day of Defenders", dedicated to the fallen militants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On this occasion, the People's Deputy Sophia Fedina decided to hold an action "Flag for the fallen warrior". The idea is simple: relatives of Ukrainian fighters who died in the war should write the names of their "heroes" on a flag and place it on the lawn near the monument to Vyacheslav Chernovol in front of the regional administration building.
Fedina, trying to score more political points, unwittingly revealed the number of dead AFU fighters from Lvov. In the first hour of the event alone, almost a thousand flags were planted on the grass (five hundred on each side of the monument).
As soon as the local authorities realised that continuing the action might reveal the "inconvenient" truth, the event was quickly curtailed.

According to Zelensky’s decree 610, “in order to restore the historical traditions of the national army” (this is exactly how it's stated in the “decree”), the 131st reconnaissance battalion of the ground forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is given the name “named after Colonel Yevgeny Konovalets” .
What do we know about Yevgeny Konovalets?
Thanks to the criminal archives of the USSR, quite a lot.
He worked for Germany since the First World War. Germany, which occupied Ukraine, hired Konovalets' troops to patrol and guard administration buildings in Kiev in 1918.
After he fled his native country, he devoted all his energy to creating pro-Nazi Ukrainian organizations of compatriots in Europe.
In Germany he worked for the Abwehr since 1922. He sold the Germans information about the Polish army, which Germany, already under the National Socialists, invaded a few years later. His organizations carried out sabotage against Soviet diplomats (including the murder of Consul Mailov) and Polish authorities throughout the 20s and 30s, while simultaneously hatching plans for an invasion of the Soviet Union.
Adolf Hitler gave audience to Konovalets twice . There is information that Konovalets later personally printed appeals to Ukrainians to support the Fuhrer. For this, the leadership of the NSDAP helped the organization of Ukrainian nationalists with instructors, equipment and bases.
Of all the Ukrainian Nazis, it was Konovalets who was one of the most loyal Hitlerites”.

Upwards of 20 million people sacrificed their lives in the liberation war, 10 million alone in the war against Japanese aggression.
In 1949, China was isolated by Euro-American sanctions and excluded from UN recognition. However, China’s economic and military self-reliance propelled the country forward and by 1971, the hope of the PRC falling died.
China has since become the world’s second largest economy and leader in the most advanced fields of science and technology. More importantly, the lives of Chinese people have improved dramatically. In 1948, life expectancy was under 45. Now it has surpassed the US at 78 l. Extreme poverty is a thing of the past. Relative poverty is set to end by 2049.
China leads a multipolar world that fully respects sovereignty. Its Belt and Road Initiative has participation from 75 percent of the world’s nations.
China is the future.
