🔹 Job Summary
The Editor (Multimedia Editor) is responsible for reviewing, editing, and finalizing written, video, photo, and graphic content before publication. The role ensures all materials meet professional quality standards, align with Eznet’s branding guidelines, and comply with ethical and safeguarding policies.
The Editor works closely with the Content Creator and submits finalized materials to the Social Media Manager for approval.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Written Content Editing
• Edit captions, articles, testimonials, reports, and campaign materials.
• Correct grammar and improve clarity, tone, and structure.
• Ensure consistency with organizational messaging.
Video Editing
• Edit testimonials, event coverage, awareness videos, and promotional clips.
• Add subnoscripts, logos, intro/outro sequences, and branding elements.
• Ensure sound clarity, proper transitions, and platform optimization.
• Maintain ethical and dignified presentation of beneficiaries.
Photo & Graphic Editing
• Enhance, crop, and format photos for social media.
• Apply branding elements and ensure respectful representation.
• Refine flyers, posters, brochures, and campaign visuals.
Quality Control & Compliance
• Ensure content has proper consent before publication.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding standards.
• Submit finalized content on time according to the content calendar.
🔹 Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Media, Communication, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field.
• Proven experience in multimedia editing.
• Strong written English skills (Amharic is an asset).
• Proficiency in video and photo editing software (Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Photoshop, Canva, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and creativity.

1️⃣ A-roll (Main footage)

This is the primary video ... usually the main subject speaking.

Example:
- A YouTuber talking to the camera
- An interview
- A news reporter speaking

2️⃣ B-roll (Supporting footage)

This is extra footage shown while the A-roll audio continues.

It helps visualize what the person is talking about.

Example: If someone says:
"I spent the whole morning editing videos..."
Instead of only showing them talking, you cut to clips of:
•them using a laptop 💻
•timeline in editing software 🎬
•keyboard typing ⌨️
•coffee on the desk ☕
.....Those clips are B-roll.

These will just make you look like you're on some professional stuff ...
