This freeze most likely follows suspected criminal activity. Tether ($USDT) only freezes wallets once authorities or federal agencies alert them that the addresses are involved in fraud, scams, or money laundering.

‼️JUST IN: CryptoQuant CEO says the 80K ($10 billion) BTC moved after 14 years may be tied to the MyBitcoin hack or founder.

The transfer originated from wallets holding the bitcoin since April 2011, before MyBitcoin’s hack in July of that year. The stash is believed to belong either to the hacker or the anonymous founder, Tom Williams.

This entire stolen stash of 80,000 BTC (worth $10 billion) was sold to Galaxy Digital this week.

One victim was scammed for $25K and another for $500. He’s already flagged as a scammer on OGU and says he plans to scam more before selling his 4-letter username.

Avoid dealing with @wait under any circumstance.

❗️JUST IN: SuperRare has just been exploited for $730K, and several smaller exchanges were also drained and lost between $100K–$200K.

‼️BREAKING: The #1 crypto gambling site Stake assisted the FBI in tracking down and arresting alleged fraudster “redman” after he deposited 250 ETH (~$250K) in stolen crypto onto the platform.

Stake says redman verified his account using his actual KYC right after the $250K hit to gamble, which they logged and later handed over to the feds as part of the investigation.

This is interesting considering how many fraudsters rush to Stake after a hit turns out they store all KYC and are willing to work with the FBI when needed.

‼️JUST IN: Longtime Bitcoin investor “Bitcoin4Jimmy” has been drained for $880K in a phishing scam.

There’s currently a fake clone of popular crypto wallets live on the App Store designed solely to steal your Bitcoin and crypto. These apps are bypassing iOS antivirus checks and aren’t being flagged as malware, even though they’re spreading RATs and draining wallets.

Please avoid downloading any random crypto wallets from the App Store until Apple addresses the issue.

‼️JUST IN: ZachXBT will now reportedly require upfront crypto payment to begin any crypto fraud investigation.

He has stated that he is not obligated to assist everyone and believes individuals are responsible for their own losses through social engineering or scams. As a result, he will no longer spend his free time on unpaid requests for help.

This change likely comes from the Malone Lam investigation, where $250M BTC was seized and ZachXBT received a good tip for his work.
