They made a public threat to all companies, saying they’ll leak data of any that failed to pay a ransom in crypto, posting sensitive information on a forum called BreachStars.

❗️JUST IN: Coinbase is now working with the U.S. government to provide blockchain tools and onchain data.

The government can now request any necessary info for investigations from Coinbase onchain data or technical tools. This helps record economic and government data, making it easier to track criminals and prevent fraud.

❄️JUST IN: ChangeNOW has frozen 192.5K XRP (~$580K) tied to a fraudulent cashout.

The fraudsters stole $600K and instantly sent it to the exchange, then went on Twitter complaining their funds wouldn’t be released. ChangeNOW clarified the money was flagged, KYC was required, and the case is under an active compliance investigation.

❗️ JUST IN: Elon Musk has filed a lawsuit against a former xAI engineer who joined OpenAI and uploaded xAI’s entire codebase / source.

The engineer sold $7 million worth of xAI stock before departing and accepted a role at OpenAI shortly before the alleged theft, and is now accused of stealing Grok trade secrets and leaking them.

❗️JUST IN: Solana & Ethereum groups have donated $1M toward the legal defense of Tornado Cash co-founders.

One of them was convicted Aug 6 for running an unlicensed money-transmitting business. The other was found guilty in 2024 of money laundering tied to Tornado Cash, an exchange often used to wash illicit funds after a hit or cashout.

Tier 1 influencers were paid high 5-figure sums per post while secretly selling positions behind the scenes. Many have since flexed the profits with exotic cars like BMWs, Lambos, Ferraris, along with luxury watches and more.

❗️JUST IN: US cybersecurity firm Zscaler has been breached by notorious cybercrime group “Scattered Spider“.

Earlier today Zscaler confirmed attackers gained access to its Salesforce instance, stealing customer info including support case data. The company is now warning clients to avoid phone calls to reduce the risk of social engineering attempts.

❗️JUST IN: 20 minutes ago another ~$500K was drained by Angelferno right in front of me

The drainer’s owner invited me into their groupchat to watch the process unfold. Out of nowhere they hit $500K and even shared the TXID (HERE). Over the past week Angelferno has also been linked to the $10M Uniswap exploit and a series of smaller attacks all carried out by tricking victims into signing malicious approvals that hand over full access to their crypto.
