In Japanese there is this expression 敵に回す. Describes Degen pretty well. He made an enemy of every single Japanese learner in the world. It's only natural. If you constantly make videos where you mock Japanese learners and foreigners, everybody will hate you. In his videos he portrays himself as a Japanese learner who constantly fails, despite his best efforts. Degen calls this "comedy". Pathetic piece of shit.

Take this video for example. A foreigner comes to a store, tries to use the little Japanese he knows, and eventually makes a fool of himself. This is just one of thousands examples. Every video has this same plot. The same thing every time.

And the most hilarious thing is that all those videos are nothing more than advertisements for his Patreon scam — a Japanese accent course. Brilliant. Imagine if a gym made a commercial that starts like this: "you're fat, ugly and weak, and that's why you should come to our gym". Yeah, sure, a great way to attract customers.
