🇺🇸💰1991 US-backed coup in Haiti

From one of the documents I scanned today: USAID and NED poured their monetary efforts into a military coup in Haiti, which installed a military regime with Jean-Jacques Honorat as Prime Minister.

This 1991 coup kickstarted a refugee crisis that displaced 12,500+ Haitians and resulted in an estimated 3,000-5,000 deaths.

In an ironic twist, the United States eventually backed an operation to re-install Aristide, whom they ousted in the first place in 1991.

Keep that in mind the next time a fired USAID worker waxes poetic on how much good they do for the world.

One scary way to think about it, it's not just that Open Society pushes for a one world government, it's that they already were the one world government from the beginning.

Initial findings - and it makes sense in retrospect - NGOs play an enormous role in supranational governance (e.g., UNHCR) and drive many of these key decisions. No one country wanted to control the decision-making, so they offloaded them to "experts" in NGOs, which inevitably gave Open Society an outsized influence in decision-making from the very beginning.

Going home tomorrow. Thanks for the patience in non-posting. I'll dump the most straightforward stuff. We will be going through the approval process and will be making another trip for the more restricted stuff.

The funny thing is that all the documents love to measure in terms of nation contributions as a percent of GDP to downplay US.

But in reality, the entire NGO ecosystem dies if we just have the willpower to cut off taxpayer financing.

The weak chain in this cycle is, again, US taxpayers.
We are so economically dominant that none of this lives without our taxpayer money.

Apropros of nothing except perhaps VC: an actual, desirable product trumps any technological possiblity.

Having a product means you've narrowed your startup's capability to the consumer, and that takes a lot of discipline.
