I didn’t sit down to write this book to make money. I wrote it because in early 2025 my life changed drastically. I was fortunate to have strong support around me, but I also felt a responsibility to understand what had happened; not just to me, but to many others. I wanted to examine the systems and institutions that have so much power over public life, and to ask how they’ve evolved over time and why they became so vicious.
This didn’t emerge overnight. Joshua Lisec and I worked through more than 1,300 cited sources, tracing developments back four to five centuries. If you count the material we reviewed but didn’t ultimately include, the number is far higher. Most of 2025 was spent immersed in this research.
At its core, the book tries to move past vague labels like "Deep State" or "Cathedral" and instead ask specific questions: Which institutions hold influence? How are they structured? What ideas animate them? How do people become part of those systems?
That’s what Unelected sets out to explore.

I have never encountered a public figure who carries this much contempt for his own country... not its government, not its politicians, but its people. The Americans he spent 25 years teaching at the Naval War College? He thinks they're the greatest threat to democracy.
That's a direct quote.
It raises a serious question: should someone who views American servicemen as a danger to the republic have any influence over how they are sent to war?
I think his material at the Naval War College should be retroactively reviewed. I'm serious.

From my book, Unelected. I have a bunch of quote tables which put together what "our democracy" is. I love quote tables. Let their own words indict them.
Basically they don't see democracy as consent of the governed, like the Founding Fathers did. They see it as an infrastructure of institutions (media, LE, IC, universities) that serve as "neutral guardians" and without which everything else falls apart.

It's a standard institutional trick. Create consensus through circularity. It's also how aggressive gender affirmation treatment for minors became "settled science." Seed a few key people in ethics positions at credentialing organizations such as the ANA or AMA, they cite each other, then other publications start citing them, and when you actually trace it all, every one of the 20+ citations all trace back to some extremist's opinion in the latest WPATH standard which was almost pure speculation
