Die Schweizer Wirtschaft blieb auch im Jahr 2022 unter ihrem Potential. Im ordentlichen Haushalt hätte die Schuldenbremse ein konjunkturbedingtes Defizit von 0,3 Milliarden zugelassen. Per Ende 2022 belief sich das ordentliche Finanzierungsdefizit auf 1,9 Milliarden. Damit resultierte erstmals seit 2005 wieder ein strukturelles Defizit (-1,6 Mrd.).

The Swiss economy remained below its potential in 2022. In the ordinary budget, the debt brake would have permitted a cyclical deficit of 0.3 billion. The ordinary financing deficit amounted to 1.9 billion at the end of 2022. This was the first structural deficit since 2005 (-1.6 bn).
