Situation on the frontlines as of the end of the day on July 5th, 2023
▶️ On the Belarusian, Siverskyi and Bilhorod directions — no changes. Near the Valuysky district, there is the highest intensity of counter-fire.
▶️ On the Svatove direction — no changes. Local battles continue in the Serebryansk forestry. The enemy fired and unsuccessfully attacked to the north of Novoselivske.
▶️ On the Bakhmut direction — battles continue near heights 215.7 and 233.3 near Klishchiivka. The enemy is still sitting in the village itself. The Defense Forces are attempting to improve their tactical position near Berkhivka, the result is unknown.
▶️ On the Avdiivka direction — 110th Mechanized Brigade caught some prisoners, maintaining its status of Avdiivka kings. The enemy continues to press on the brigade's positions to the east of Avdiivka. Battles continue near Pervomaiske and Nevelske.
▶️ On the Berdyansk direction — також й 35th Marine Brigade caught some prisoners, presumably in the area of Makarivka.

Over the past two months, the Azov (3rd Assault Brigade and attached units) and Adam (80th Air Assault Brigade and 5th Assault Brigade) tactical groups have been doing titanic work on the right flank of Bakhmut.

🔹 The presidents of Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland have sent a joint letter to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg expressing their concern about the events in Belarus
✍️ In the letter, the three leaders state that the cooperation between Moscow and Minsk undermines the security of the region and the entire Euro-Atlantic area. They also note that Moscow is using the territory of Belarus and its resources for an illegal and brutal aggressive war against Ukraine, indicating an increasingly close military integration between the two countries.
💭 "The latest manifestation of this is the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus. This is an escalation in the context of the war in Ukraine and a direct threat to the security of our community. This is another blatant violation of the NATO-Russia Founding Act and a vivid proof that this document is no longer valid <...> The relocation of Russian mercenaries from the Wagner Group and their leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin, to Belarus will create risks for political stability in Belarus and, as a result, potential loss of control over conventional and nuclear weapons," the letter from the presidents of Lithuania, Poland, and Latvia states.
