Situation on the frontlines as of the end of the day on August 18, 2023

▶️ On the Belarusian, Siverskyi and Bilhorod directions — no changes.

▶️ On the Svatove direction — combat continues near Synkivka. The enemy has no success. The situation near Novoselivske is stable, the enemy has been wiped out and is waiting for reinforcements. Combat contact line has been updated in the Serebryansk forestry.

▶️ On the Bakhmut direction — battles continue in Klіshchiivka and to its south. Intense fighting near 187.5 (Zalіznyanske area). The enemy has suffered losses in personnel and at least 1 tank.

▶️ On the Avdiivka direction — no changes. The enemy's traditional attempts to improve the tactical position in Mariinka were unsuccessful.

▶️ On the Berdiansk direction — Defense Forces have made progress to the south and east of Urozhazne. However, not all attacks were successful, due to mistakes tragedies occurred which we must avoid in the future. People often talk about villages, but forget about the work of units clearing forest belts. This is an equally important and difficult task. Currently, the Marine Infantry and the National Guard continue to perform this task for further advancement. The enemy has become more agile, hence new challenges arise during the attack.

▶️ On the Zaporizhzhia direction — intense battles continue near Robotyne and within the village itself. The enemy has lost the initiative in the settlement and is trying to establish a defense in its southern part. Battles in this sector are characterized by losses and counter-attacks. Recently, many videos have appeared showing Defense Forces fighters near 121.4, east of Robotyne.

🔽The enemy forces present act as a barrier in the village. It is likely that the enemy decided to leave the settlement soon.

▶️ On the Tavria direction — оthe operation is ongoing, it's too early to talk about the results. There are experienced fighters, and there are simply motivated ones, who are currently doing titanic work. The katsap knows about most of the movements and tries to restore parity with artillery and aviation, but our fighters hold on. A significant part of the enemy's reserves is concentrated near Tokmak.

🗂 Analytical note. The summer is coming to an end, and we see the results of two offensive campaigns. The enemy's campaign has been successful south of Masiutivka, the village of Serhiivka, and positions in the Serebryansk forestry. On the other hand, ours has a wedge in Robotyne and the cutting off of a bulge near Velyka Novosilka. The katsaps are engaging no fewer forces on the Svatove direction than we are in the south. While the successes are different, they do not seem global.

🔽However, the summer campaign has shown that enemy successes are only possible where there are our tactical and strategic miscalculations. Consequently, the enemy's last hope to change something is mobilization, which is currently happening covertly on their side. And what our fighters see near Synkivka, when the enemy thoughtlessly runs towards the machine gun, could become a widespread phenomenon.
