CZECHIA – According to the Taiwanese media, the Taiwanese army will buy two Czech 155mm DITA self-propelled howitzers manufactured by Excaliburarmycz. The howitzers will undergo testing and then the army will decide on the number of howitzers to order.
The Taiwanese army is also reportedly considering buying a large number of Tatra trucks for its MLRS, air defence, anti-ship cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and engineer vehicles. In addition, it is also considering replacing older MLRS and missile launchers, which would mean an additional 200-400 Tatra vehicles.
Taiwan is also reportedly already testing two light wheeled tanks with 105mm cannon and on Tatra 815-7 8x8 chassis/or plans to redesign these vehicles and use the Tatra 8x8 chassis
If all goes according to plan, the DITA self-propelled howitzers and Tatra trucks should reportedly be produced in Taiwan.
