IRAN – The Simorgh cluster bomb is an advanced Iranian-made weapon that causes relatively high destruction in low-altitude attacks. Among other features is its high destruction power against all types of armored and non-armored targets. This bomb contains 147 bomblets weighing one kilogram each. The body of the bomblet is shrapnel, which increases its effectiveness against armored and non-armored targets. In addition, the presence of a pit charge increases the effectiveness of the bomb against armored targets.

This bomb can be launched from all types of eastern and western planes and has a length of 245 cm, a diameter of 42 cm and a weight of 277 kg.
