Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs: Outward Taiwanese investment in China has fallen from NT$2.7 trillion ($84.37 billion) in 2008-2015. to NT$1.51 trillion in 2016-2023, an increase of 44%.

Meanwhile, Taiwan's outward investment to other countries rose from NT$1.36 trillion in 2008-2015 to NT$2.68 trillion in 2016-2023, an increase of 96%.

Trade between Taiwan and the New South (chart) has increased from less than $100 billion in 2016 to more than $180 billion in 2022.
