🔱 BREAKING – NATO Sea Shield 24 naval exercises began today, in which the Polish Navy participates
More than 2,200 soldiers from 12 NATO countries and partner countries and 135 units of equipment, including sea and river ships, aircraft, vehicles and boats, will jointly conduct operations in the Black Sea and the Danube Delta to combat illegal operations and carry out search and rescue operations at sea, helping a ship in distress and securing critical infrastructure.
The main goal of the training, which will last until April 21, is to increase interoperability and strengthen defense on the Alliance's eastern flank.
Sea Shield 24 is an international exercise conducted by Romanian naval forces

🇩🇪⚔️🇯🇵 The German company Rheinmetall has signed a contract with the Japanese Ministry of Defense to supply three wheeled Mission Master SP unmanned ground vehicles to the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force for testing in January 2025. The vehicles will be equipped with various payload modules, including a cargo module, a surveillance system and a remotely controlled combat module.

US set to expand Naval Base in Papua New Guinea.
In an effort to push back China’s influence and expand its presence in Oceania, the U.S. is renovating Lombrum Naval Base on the Island of Los Negros in Papua New Guinea.
Currently, Lombrum naval base is one of six facilities on Papua New Guinea to which U.S. personnel have an unimpeded access under the Defense Cooperation Agreement signed between Washington and Port Moresby in 2023.
