DAME Ann Gloag is one of Scotland's richest women, after being responsible for the creation of one of the biggest transport companies in the UK.
Gloag owns two large properties in Scotland.
She acquired Beaufort Castle near Inverness in 1995. It was built in 1880 and was built by the Byset family.
She was given the go-ahead to build a holiday resort at the estate, in 2021.
The plans were subject to protests from locals after she initially announced plans to build 50 homes and have a glamping area on the site in 2019.
She also owns Kinfauns Castle in Perthshire, buying the property in 2004.
In 2007, a court ruled that she was legally ennoscriptd to bar the public from an area of woodland on the grounds of Kinfauns Castle.

Looks like another baby farm if u ask me
The former nurse, who co-founded bus giants Stagecoach in 1980 with brother Brian Souter and remains a non-executive director of the firm, has a special attachment to the unit which can care for 40 babies at once and need £100,000 a year to keep going.
It’s for this facility that Ann is launching her latest charity venture.
She and some friends and family are hoping to raise thousands for the charity through a rally across Europe next month, and Ann said that every penny would help because their costs and numbers of kids are rising as a result of the famine in Kenya.
