It's time for some new updates and discussions.

Tomorrow we are going to add a timer, that will show the countdown to the next Harbor refill. This is going to help you remember to withdraw your WOD on time.

Also, now the Harbor would be refilled with much bigger amount of WOD, than the last month, which you might have noticed in the last several days. We will do our best to keep refilling the Harbor with enough WOD for everyone.

At the same time, we want to start a discussion within the community about making the personal withdrawal limits.

We have noticed the complaints that not everyone can withdraw their WOD in time, so we are thinking about making a personal limitation on WOD withdrawals.

We want to ask you, what limit would be appropriate for you and how do you feel about the personal limits for WOD withdrawal?

We welcome any feedback about this in the comments or in our chat and we won't make a decision until we know the community will support us.

Dear Captains💎

We had a long journey together and it wasn't always an easy one. But we stayed determined and came through all the difficulties.

Today we are extremely proud to announce that the Tower Defish Closed Alpha testing had started!

The testing will last in two weeks and after the testing the participants will be able to tell you their feedback and impressions about the game.

After this phase of testing there will be another one, which would be open for anyone, but it will take some time, because we are going to release much more game content, than on alpha.

We promised to keep you updated on how things are going in Tower Defish and today we are going to start preparing you for the main enemy you’ll have to fight in the game.

The Fish 🐟

Fish is an essential element of the game, it is as important as are the towers. Fish in TD, just like in WoD, have 6 rarity types, from 💎 Common to 💎Artifact. Fish Rarity impacts the Essence reward you get for catching fish. We’ll talk about Essence later, but know that it’s one of the core resources of the game.

We have 16 types of Fish enemies you are going to encounter during your level defenses. We won’t tell you about all of them, just to not spoil the surprise, but there are few of them:

Tanky Fish: Fish that has armor and is resistant to certain types of Tower Damage.

Healer Fish: Fish that heals other fish in the river.

Cloning Fish: Fish that creates clones when getting to the river.

And so on. As we said in the previous devblog, there are also types of fish, that are capable of attacking and destroying your towers.

All of 16 fish types, except the basic one, have their unique ability, just like the 3 we reviewed. But they can also have 5 secondary abilities, like becoming invisible to certain types of towers or gaining evasion to attacks.

In other words, the combinations of the Fish Types and secondary abilities makes the level gameplay much more diverse, which will keep your interest in the game for long. Every level is going to look unique and you won’t ever have the two identical confrontations.

In addition to said earlier, you will be able to use Fish NFTs from World of Defish to get some valuable resources and in-game boosts for your encounters.

That is all we have for you for now, but we are going to make much more content about TD in the near future, and after the alpha testing we’re sure you are going to get a lot of feedback from testers. Follow the news, Captains, for the seas never sleep!

The tides are turning and the storms are gathering before the greatest contest the seas have ever seen. We are here to announce the upcoming World of Defish Grand Tournament!

As we promised, the Grand Tournament will start this month and will take place for 3 weeks.

The Tournament will consist of 4 Tiers, so all Captains from newbies to whales will be able to participate and contest with equal opponents.

The Tiers will have requirements for Captains level and equipment rarity. You will not be able to use 💎Epic, 💎Legendary or 💎Artifact equipment in the lowest tier, Tier 4, and if you have a high Captain LVL, you won’t be able to play in lower tiers even with a low rarity equipment.

These conditions will make the contest fair and will give every worthy Captain a chance to take the prize for themselves.

The tournament will have a leaderboard accessible on Playdex, our partners’ platform.

We will explain the rules and the prize pool in the near future, but for now, gather your strength and hard will, Captains, for the Grand Tournament is about to commence.

The sea brings new treasures for the Captains who are brave enough to claim it. Introducing you the Defish Box 4.0.

The new collection is bringing a fistful of new equipment made especially for those willing to prepare to the Grand Tournament.

The new Defish Box adds a whole fleet of new boats prepared to venture in the most dangerous journeys, as well as the new high-tech equipment with the increased EXP gain. It will allow the new Captains to quickly gain access to higher tier zones and the hardened whales would definitely like the long awaited craft diversity.

And the most delightful part - the new collection would be available for purchase only in WOD and we would make sure you there will be enough WOD for everyone to withdraw.

Today we want to make a checkpoint and share our vision of the past several months — what did we achieve and what awaits us in the future.

From the start of 2023 we are attracting hundreds of new Captains to our game, thanks to our partners, and we are glad that the game community continues to grow.

WOD economy has changed significantly over its lifetime and we are actively developing new mechanics, that will boost its growth through craft optimization, gas fee reduction and developing new ways of WOD utility.

Considering the war in Ukraine and unfavourable, to say the least, working conditions, our team manages not only to continue their work, but to make new products, such as Tower Defish, which is approaching the end of the closed alpha testing.

We want to say our words of appreciation to all community that supports us, and understands the situation we’re forced to be in. Your trust, sincere interest in our products and your support inspires us to make our games even better.

We also have something to show you — these are the level design renders from Tower Defish, about which we will talk more in the next Devblog which is coming tomorrow. And for now, stay sharp, Captains, more news are coming soon.

Tower Defish's closed alpha testing has recently ended and we want to share the results with you.

The closed alpha has ended and we collected all the necessary feedback from testers. Now we have everything we need to proceed with preparations for an open testing and, eventually, the release of the game.

From our side we promise you that every aspect of the game, including graphics, will be made better and polished to perfection before the final release.

We express a big gratitude to our testers for trusting us and providing a detailed feedback on bugs or issues and making suggestions on how to improve the game experience furthermore.

For those craving for more details, the testers might share their feedback in our community chat and, in our turn, we will keep you posted on the development stages, like we always do.

Today we are going to announce a significant update to our crafting system. Introducing you, the Off-Chain Crafting Update!

Now, if you need to craft any piece of equipment, you don’t need to withdraw your materials and WODs to On-Chain. All of the crafting is going to be possible Off-Chain in the game, without paying enormous gas fees to withdraw and deposit your items.

In case if you have left some materials On-Chain, you will still be able to craft items On-Chain like you always did.

Just a note, you won’t be able to transfer materials from On-Chain to Off-Chain, for now.

We will do our best to release this update before the end of the month and before releasing the new Collection with the new craft rotation, so you could craft in Off-Chain.

This is just a beginning of a new WoD economic reforms and you will see even more updates and adjustments in the future. Stay sharp, Captains, more news are coming soon!

We want to tell you more about the new Collection that is coming soon and share the equipment details, so you may know what to expect from it.

This collection is inspired by the unique style cocktail of cyberpunk and high-tech style flavoured with some fantasy, the same style we use in Tower Defish.

Moving to equipment's median stats main balance in this collection:
WOD gain remains the same as the last collection
EXP gain increased 10%
NFT drop chance decreased 15%.

Although the main balance of the Collection, there are certain items that change the stats in addition to the main balance:

Bite Indicators will increase NFT drop chance by extra 10%, while not affecting WOD and EXP gain.

Fishing Nets will increase WOD gain by 7%, decreasing EXP gain by 15%, and not affecting NFT drop chance.

Fish Feeder Boxes will give a balanced boost to all stats.

This collection also brings 12 new boats, 2 for each Rarity type, so new players will have an increased chance to get a boat and venture into the open waters.

We will announce the release date and prices on Monday, the 27th, so stay sharp and make sure you won't miss anything!
