Ahoy, Captains 🐳

The World of Defish Grand Tournament has ended. We congratulate the winners and appreciate all participants for taking a part in the contest.

The final results will be announced in a very close future and the tournament leaderboard will update at 11:10 UTC, due to the leaderboard update mechanism.

All prizes will be available for claiming on Playdex within a week after the tournament ends.

It was an exciting competition and as a developer team, we have collected a lot of experience that will let us make the next tournaments much better and more exciting.

Take your time to celebrate and enjoy yourself, Captains, and prepare for the new competitions. The next Tournament might happen sooner than you think.

We have some great news for you today. The technical optimization patches have resulted in reducing gas fees by up to 800%.

This achievement makes your interaction with the On/Off-Chain transfers much easier and stimulates the marketplace trading.

Our goal here was to make your interaction with the Blockchain technology uninterrupted by expences.

We also highly suggest you to hoard your fish and material NFTs, you are going to need them soon 👀

Remember when we said we want to improve the userflow? Today we are going to tell you more about one of its aspects, the notifications.

We decided to reimagine the notification ideology itself, based on the goal to make it possible to solve any task within the Defish ecosystem.

What can you expect from the Notification Update:

Firstly, the design refreshment. The notification will be sized to fit more text to make them more useful and informative.

Secondly, the tips. Many of the notifications will now become a sort of mini-guides, that will help to understand the basic mechanics of the game and will suggest to read more about the topic in our guide library.

We are also working on making the crash/error notifications more informative, so that any player will know what caused the problem, what to do with it or whom to address for help.

As we finish working on this update, we will once again turn our attention to the marketplace.

The new wave of updates is coming, Captains, stay sharp and be prepared!

Ahoy, Captains 🐳

Today we are happy to announce yet another major Off-Chain transition. We are currently working on the Off-Chain Marketplace Update.

Why is it so important:

Firstly, you will be able to put stacks of materials on sale, instead of just selling or bying them one by one.

Secondly, this will allow to avoid having to pay a gas fee for any interaction with the Marketplace, which will cut your costs even further.

On-Chain interaction with the Marketplace will still be available, just like it was, but you will be able to buy any item, not just repair tools, with your Off-Chain balance.

Right now we are working on a huge data migration and maintaining a clear user flow to make these changes natural and not confusing for the users.

For now, due to the recent rocket attacks in our country, we can't estimate an exact release date, but we want to let you know what to prepare for.

And, of course, more news are coming soon, so stay sharp and keep your eyes open, Captains!

Ahoy, Captains 🐳

Today, we have an update of unmatched importance. Economy, Collections, Inflation Reduction, all of it fades before this update.

After 1.5 years we have finally fixed Volatility Rift's misspelling on the map!

And, we have also made several other changes to the map.

The map has been transfered to a new 3D engine, which allowed us to improve your interaction with it and add new filters to track your owned zones and your active sessions.

We have also lightly redesigned the map, clearing it of unnecessary and annoying objects.

Additionally, we have released the Notification Update to the game, as well as the new Ultimate Guide for the newcomers.

This update is already available on Testnet and will come to Mainnet on Monday.

Take your time to enjoy the new map, Captains, but stay sharp, as the next week is going to be rich on news.

Tower Defish's open beta draws closer than ever. It's time we introduced you to all 10 basic Towers that are available in the game.

Basic Towers are a core element of the game. You will have to pick the right towers in order to defend the river efficiently, but don't play favorites, as every next tower of the same type will cost more, motivating you to use a more diverse approach.

Here are the short denoscriptions of every tower available:

Inferno:
Expels a laser beam, dealing damage that increases over time to a single target.

Harpoon:
Shoots heavy bolts with high speed, dealing major damage to a single target.

Entangler:
Launches massive fishing nets to a wide area and detects Stealthy units.

Tesla:
Hurls overcharged lightning bolts that leap through enemy targets, dealing bonus damage to Armor.

Echo:
Unleashes repetitive sonic waves in a radius, dealing massive damage over time.

Turbine:
Spins a water mill that deals high damage in a small area around it and reveals Stealthy units.

Cannon:
Throws explosive shells, dealing massive damage to all targets in a small area.

Dreadclaw:
Hits targets with a massive claw, piercing Armor and dealing exceptional damage to a single target. Detects Stealthy units.

Sniper:
Shoots high-caliber bullets, dealing additional damage based on a distance to target, but taking time to reload.

Charger:
Powers up and fires an energy bolt that deals enormous damage and disintegrates a target with a critical hit.

Most of these towers are available for free, but some of them will require an in-game purchase.

As we discussed earlier, every tower has its strength and weakness and have many ways of upgrade to increase its efficiency. This creates countless ways to build up your defense and choose your own style of gameplay.

For those who craves some fish hunting, we will return soon with the news about an upcoming open beta. It will be available much sooner than you can expect 👀

Let's continue our in-depth look on the development of Tower Defish. As the game is currently on a final stage of development, it's important to overlook the recent progress we made.

We already talked about the graphic design of the game and now we have taken it on a new level. The pictures of basic Towers you saw in the last devblog may give you an idea of the overall graphics quality.

You can see how our approach to the graphics evolved from early stages of development to current version on the screenshots we attached.

For now, our main focus is making an informative in-game tutorial to bring the newcomers up to speed right from the start.

Your chance to see the brand new game for yourselves is coming close.

We are happy to announce that the Tower Defish Open Beta will start in June, closer to the end of the month.

Open Beta access will first be available for Android users and will come to iOS a few weeks later.

We will inform you about a specific release date as soon as we finish our preparations.

Take your time to celebrate this big day, Captains, but make sure you're ready for the dangers of the land.

We have a few very important news regarding Tower Defish for you!

First, we have decided to make a full release in early-mid July, instead of making an Open Beta test. This way, we can use the time we had before the Open Beta to focus on bringing the final release of a polished and revised game much closer.

We are planning on submitting the game to Google Play (and, eventually, Apple's App Store) in early July and depending on the moderation, you can expect the game to release in mid July.

However, we had to make a few adjustments in order to bring the release date closer to you.

First thing, to release the game without any complications with Google Play and App Store (especially with App Store) we had to postpone the Tower Defish integration into the WoD ecosystem and it won't be available on release.

But don't you worry, we are still working on connecting our two games and we will eventually add this feature with future updates.

The same goes for our in-game Bestiary. This feature is going to take some time to properly develop, so it will come later with other gameplay updates.

Apart from that, the game is ready to release, and after a few finishing strokes we will upload it to Play Market and App Store and will keep you posted about the exact release date.

This is a big thing, Captains, and we want to thank you for your support and interest in our games. We are very proud of our new game and can't wait to see you play Tower Defish on your mobile devices.
