The medical system aims to patent natural substances to regulate and control them to dictate "health." There is just one problem; it's prohibited to patent natural substances. Now, what could you possibly do about that? As a nutritional scientist, I can tell you the trick: You manipulate the molecule of, e.g., vitamin D into an artificial substance that looks like the real thing, doesn't have its functions, and can be patented because it's no longer a natural substance. That's how you turn an illegal business into a legal business on the back of public health.

Also to note, the supplement industry doesn't work with the same restrictions as the pharma industry i.e. making false promises on Supplements' effects doesn't get you in jail as fast.

There are still great supplements & naturally, nutrient-dense foods that could be used to cope with the consistent decline of overall food quality, e.g. beef liver & oysters.
