In January 2022, the FCC's Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau added China Unicom to its list of telecommunications companies that have been deemed a threat to national security.
FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel said "the national security landscape has shifted and there has been mounting evidence - and with it, a growing concern - that Chinese state-owned carriers pose a real threat to the security of our telecommunications networks."
Both hongzhengtech.cn (website registered by admin@konnech.com) and zentao.konnech.info currently utilize the China Unicom China169 backbone and point to IP address 101.66.244.52.
