History will look back and realize that denying humans of hugs for prolonged periods - against their will - is a crime. Especially for children, elderly, and those who need the boost.

Hugs and human touch is key for our health and well-being. It's a kind of food / nutrition that humans need.

In the future, a policy like this will be understood as medical malpractice. Child abuse. Elder Abuse. We will have much grief, healing, and rehabilitation to do.

I am grateful we are learning fast now. Let's not create more unnecessary suffering. Now that they're changing the diagnostic criteria of covid, the "case" numbers will plummet, we shall see the end of "casedemic". Perhaps the return of sanity?
