Last year, our Luminous boy kept asking to watch "The Matrix" to see what this whole "red pill" thing was all about. I told him it's not for kids. but he kept insisting, so finally I agreed to try watching it together, skipping any scary parts, talking and debriefing as he needed. Surprisingly he loved the whole movie - from beginning to end!

"Mama, I wanna be like Morpheus."

He got super curious about Martial Arts, which led to books, watching Karate Kid (1, 2, 3, 4), and taking Karate classes.

Fast forward to today, almost 1 year later, his very first Karate tournament!! 🏆🏅 We had no expectations, just so impressed he's been showing up consistently.

For "board kick division" - you can do karate chop, knee kick, side kick, etc. whatever style you choose.

Our boy delighted everyone by choosing... "Crane Kick" Karate Kid style!

The whole room lit up! 💛💥

Judges gave him the #1 highest score - a 1st place performance!
