Dutchess and I went back to the place we got married today! Today being our 20th wedding anniversary..... we went to Shaw's Botanical Garden here in St. Louis Missouri .

Heads up.. a noteworthy M6.5 earthquake has struck along the coast of Central Chile (the first in months for the location).

This was the warned area for this week in South America. They were warned for up to M6.5

The warning was issued in this weeks earthquake forecast video , issued 8 days ago. The warning was for a 7-10 day watch time period.

Today is day 8 of the 10 day watch period.

Today (here in Missouri) at about 5pm it was so dense it looked like rain or fog in the distance across our lake...

9/09/2023 -- Large M6.9 earthquake in Morocco N. Africa -- M6.6 in Kermedecs + M5.2 in California

Seismic activity just went through the roof.

This update covers the large M6.9 (M7.0) in Morocco North Africa as well as the large M6.6 (M7.2) in the Kermedecs, and the M4.9 (M5.2) in California.

Notice that each earthquake has been downgraded to be the next magnitude DOWN ! hahahah  A sad display of what I've been talking about for many years.

Deliberate downgrading of quakes to be the next magnitude down as a way to pad the numbers and "keep things low" in the record book.

Do you really believe its a 4.9 in California and M6.9 in Morocco ?  LOL okaaaaay .. if you do believe in stuff like that.... I don't want to ruin Christmas for you guys, but I have some bad news about Santa Claus. :(

Also it is very important to remember, while this volcanic eruption is intense looking, this is nothing to be fearful of.  I would call this "regular" when it comes to eruptions overall.  While it is "large and major" currently!

Yes, a M6.3 earthquake did strike South of Japan, North of Taiwan. Many people asking about it... nothing serious on it yet, but it is next to an ancient volcanic island (stratovolcano) called Kobi-sho.
