The country solemnly welcomes it together with the entire Orthodox world. On Saturday 22-25, the Holy Fire arrived on a special flight from Jerusalem, after which it was taken to the temples and churches of Georgia. Since ancient times, Easter has been celebrated massively and widely, usually after the Easter service flowing into a meal, after which various games and competitions began. Especially from the Easter traditions can be singled out the singing of chon songs — during which they bless the house and say good wishes to all family members. On the tables there is usually a djedjili — sprouted wheat grass, which is the personification of a new life, of course, a cake and eggs, they are traditionally painted here with the help of madder dye or endro (you could see its small branches in shops or markets). These days they remember all the deceased and go to cemeteries. In particular, that's why there was an hour-long traffic jam at the exit from Tbilisi yesterday, as people from the capital went to the regions to visit their relatives.

The average nominal salary was 1463 lari ($482).
