For those wishing to visit the region this year, there is less and less time left. Since November, due to snow, one of the most dangerous roads in Europe has been closed.
Built in 1975, it leads from the village of Pshaveli in the Telav region of Kakheti to the mountain village of Omalo in the Akhmeta region. This is the only path that connects the mountainous Tusheti with the flat part of the country. The road is very narrow, in fact, in one track.
