Manizha will perform in Tbilisi for the first time!
After several canceled performances in Russia and the "Uncancelled Concert" online, the singer Manizha is going to the "Uncancelled Tour".
This tour is a dream of a world where there is always a place for the equality and cultural diversity, of timeless values that can unite people around the world.
The concert in Tbilisi will feature not only the main hits of the Eurovision 2021 participant, but also new songs: the single "Love is my measure" , which launched a flash mob on Instagram, and a completely new, unreleased "People will return to people".
Manizha is a Russian-Tajik singer, Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Ambassador of the Spotify Global Equality Program, creates art to confront societal issues like domestic violence and xenophobia. Manizha delivers bold messages through her music and doesn’t back down from her truth, even in the face of adversity.
Part of the proceeds from the concerts as part of the tour will be granted to the SILSILA Foundation for support and protection of people in difficult life situations and refugees, which Manizha established together with her mother.

🇬🇪❤️🇺🇦 A new mural has appeared in Tbilisi: "Solidarity with Ukraine".
The artwork was created in the Varketili district of the capital. This is not the first mural in the capital devoted to the Ukrainian theme. In September, the artist Sasha Korban depicted a Ukrainian woman in a traditional vyshyvanka in front of the section of interests of the Russian Federation at the Swiss Embassy.

🇬🇪📈🏦 The World Bank has raised its 2022 economic growth forecast for the Georgia from the previously projected 5.5% to 8.8%, the highest in the Europe and Central Asia region.
As you may have guessed, about $2 billion from abroad made a significant contribution to it, with more than 50% of them sent from Russia to Georgia. International experts believe the considerable growth to be temporary and caused by increased migration from other countries.
Sebastian Molineus, the World Bank regional director for the South Caucasus assumes, that economical growth in Georgia would slow down in 2023 to an estimated 4.2 percent:
"When it comes to Georgia itself, we see a growth rate of 8.8 percent, which right now is the highest in the entire Europe and Central Asia region, largely based on an increase in domestic demand, increase in net money transfers, as well as a strong tourism receipts and remittances as well. With this said, we believe that both the government and the National Bank of Georgia need to remain vigilant. Certainly, there needs to be a tightening of monetary policy, should the inflation still tick upwards." Also he said that Georgian government should remain "fiscally prudent" and use "any additional revenues to pay off some of its fiscal burden and to act in a fiscally prudent manner".

🇬🇪➡️🚫🇺🇦 Georgia will not transfer Mikheil Saakashvili to Ukraine - this issue is "out of question".
That was stated by the chairman of the ruling "Georgian Dream" party Irakli Kobakhidze.
Earlier, the Ukrainian lawyer of the Georgian ex-president, Vadim Zavoritni said that the Ukrainian court instructed the country’s Justice Ministry to request to the Georgian authorities for the Saakashvili's temporarily transfer to Ukraine for questioning in the 2018 case, in which he is treated as a victim.
❗️Kobakhidze explained:
"The Georgian authorities have been sending a request to Ukraine for the extradition of Saakashvili for years, and for years this request was ignored. Sending this request under some formal pretence is a type of political game, and clearly, this game will be of little relevance to us."

🙈 The vice-speaker of the Georgian parliament got into an awkward situation: the politician praised the public transport of Tbilisi with a car selfie.
Archil Talakvadze's selfie on facebook provoked a storm of criticism and a wave of memes. He took photo sitting in the back seat of a car and signed it "Tbilisi has convenient public transport". After the criticism, he urgently added the hashtag #tbilisitaxi to the photo. Commentators suggested that Talakvadze should take a selfie on the bus or in the subway.
ℹ️ Over the past month, the capital has faced problems with overcrowded public transport, and photos of hundreds of people stuck in metro stations during rush hour circulated on social media.

🇬🇪🛩 Flights within Georgia: Vanilla Sky.
Yesterday's news about airfield in Telavi (Kakheti) prompted me to talk about Georgian domestic flights. You can fly from Tbilisi to Batumi, Kutaisi, Ambrolauri (Racha) and Mestia (Svaneti) on a beautiful 16-seat L-410 "Turbolet". Never mind it was designed in the 60s in Czechoslovakia, this is a reliable aircraft. Flights depart from airport in Natakhtari (30 minutes by car from Tbilisi), a shuttle will take you there. Flight time to any destination is 1-1,5 hour. Unforgettable impressions await you, no traffic jams and working mobile Internet on board (plane flies so low). I flew it twice (see video) and both times in the cold season, so I could enjoy the snowy mountains at arm's length. The cost of tickets varies from 50 to 150 GEL per person, depending on the route. They also have an air taxi service in Georgia.
❤️ Have a nice flight and great impressions!

🏥💊 An interesting fact about Georgia: you can buy medicines in pharmacies ... by the piece.
You can buy not only one packet of Theraflu, but also one glycerin suppository, five No-spa tablets, or one sanitary pad. It is very convenient for antibiotics, especially, because usually the doctor prescribes a specific number of tablets for a certain number of days. And it's easy to buy the 3-6-9 pills you need instead of the whole big pack. This unusual manner comes from the 90s, when the country was in a severe economic crisis.
🚬 By the way, in small stores you can also easily buy cigarettes by the piece.
📲 And one more life hack, how to find specific medicines (or smth else) online. Do the search for sites in the .ge domain.
(You can simply replace "smecta" with anything you are looking for)

💰🚫 The ruling party "Georgian Dream" decided to adopt a law on deoligarchization, as in Ukraine, the discussion will take place in the Parliament tomorrow.
To declare someone an oligarch, three of the four conditions must be met: a large fortune, influence on politics, control of the media, and a monopoly in any area of the economy.
ℹ️ A person will be recognized as an oligarch if he has a fortune exceeding 1 million times the subsistence level. Such a person will be listed in a special register. According to the bill, oligarchs will be prohibited from donating to political projects and to the electoral accounts of candidates.
❗️The opposition opposed such a law, since sponsors of opposition parties fall under it, but Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder of the Georgian Dream, who officially announced his retirement from politics, does not fall under it. They claim that the Ukrainian law does not consider the specifics of Georgia.
