🍇 Tsinandali is a site of cultural significance.
The founder of Georgian romanticism, Prince Alexander Chavchavadze, made this estate a cultural centre for the country, and to this day it hosts exhibitions, events and master classes.
Altogether, the estate encompasses a memorial house, landscape gardens and hotel, plus of course a wine cellar and historic winery — this is even said to be where Georgian wine was first bottled.
Comically, I am not passionate about wine although I was born in Georgia. How come? Well, maybe loving wine is not about a place you were born in? That’s my typical excuse.

🇬🇪🇺🇦 Last night, the action "Russia is a terrorist state" took place in Tbilisi. 🇷🇺🚫
Citizens of Ukraine, Belarus, Russia and Georgia protested against the Russian attack on Ukraine. During the action, a Russian citizen burned his own passport. He stated that he did not want to be associated with a country that kills its own and foreign citizens.
The main demand of the rally was to label Russia a terrorist state, although there were many posters demanding the release of ex-president Saakashvili. The action, which was attended by several hundred people, was organized by Ukrainian citizens and activists, together with Georgian opposition youth movements.

🐓📈🥚 Prices for chicken and eggs in Georgia will increase by more than 20%.
According to Revaz Vashakidze, the founder of the Chirin company, a sharp rise in prices is expected in this segment and "the market should say goodbye to cheap chicken meat and eggs, the price increase is inevitable and will keep going up - by 20%." Poultry farming largely depends on Russia, because the wheat and corn necessary for the production of feed are imported from there. Because of the war, these products became much more expensive, and the price of fertilizers doubled.
❗️According to entrepreneurs, the price increase is expected this year.

🇬🇪📊 Georgia took 13th place in the international ranking of investor interest.
These are the results of a study conducted by the world's leading international media and analytical group Bloomberg Media. Georgia is on a par with such countries as the US, China and the UK by the level of interest from investors. Over 400 leading international investors are considering investing in Georgia over the next three years. Up to 70% of interested investors are optimistic about the prospects of the Georgian economy, significantly higher than the global average of 55%. Near 44% of investors planning to invest in Georgia are well aware of the country's strengths, including its strategic location, affordable green energy, etc. 23% of them consider an investment up to $100 to $200 million for a separate project. “Strategic location and the advantages the local authorities had ensured for investors” had led to the entry of such international companies into Georgia as Fortune 500 brands Concentrix, Majorel, EPAM, Viber and Godel Technologies.

🇬🇪❌💥 Georgia categorically denied Moscow's accusations of involvement in the explosion on the Kerch bridge and transportation of explosives through its territory.
Earlier, Russian authorities reported that explosives arrived in the Russian Federation through the Upper Lars checkpoint and the seaport of Poti. Georgian officials deny this.
📍Ministry of Finance: "Not a trailer, not a car with TNT or other explosives passed through the customs border. If this is speculation, then the relevant services should answer it, I tell you that there was no such case."
📍Ministry of Internal Affairs: "Georgia has nothing to do with the mentioned issue. Both transit and non-transit cargoes pass customs control in Georgia. No such suspicious fact has been recorded."
📍Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze: “This is complete nonsense and has nothing to do with Georgia. I don’t know why they need it, probably for internal PR. I don’t know what to say… It has nothing to do with Georgia.”
📍Deputy of the ruling party Rati Ionatamishvili: "“I will tell you clearly: when an accusation is made by an occupying country, especially the intelligence service of this occupying country, I do not consider it appropriate and relevant to make any statement in response to this. There are some issues that we do not consider necessary to comment, much less create a stir."

🇪🇺 EU ambassadors today agreed a mandate for negotiations with the European Parliament on a decision on the non-acceptance of Russian travel documents issued in Russian-occupied regions of Ukraine or Georgia.
This was announced by the EU Council. This is about territories controlled by Russia: Crimea, annexed in 2014, DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhia regions, as well as Abkhazia and South Ossetia, whose independence was recognized by only a few countries of the world. Russian travel documents issued in, or to persons resident in these territories will not be accepted as valid travel documents for obtaining a visa or crossing the borders of the Schengen area.
❗️In Georgia, such passports are also not recognized and their holders are not allowed into the country (attempts to cross the border with Crimean papers are often recorded).

❗️Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili expressed condolences over the death of a teenager in Tbilisi.
Just yesterday, the fountains opened after many months of repair (the cost was more than $2 million) shocked three children. One girl died.
ℹ️ Unfortunately, problems with electricity and equipment quality can be found everywhere in Georgia. Once in Tbilisi, when electricity went out in my house and then was turned on, the switched off air conditioner caught fire, the appliances and telephones of the residents burned down. Such "electricians" gave increased current to the house.
❤️ Take care of yourself and your loved ones. Be careful.

👨🎨👨🏻🌾 A big interesting event in Tbilisi is held this weekend: Tbilisi Ethno Fest.
The International Summit of Arts, Crafts and Design is one of the largest and most important platforms for crafts makers, designers, entrepreneurs, retailers, experts, commercial agents, buyers and the general public in the South Caucasus region, and I strongly recommend everyone to visit it.
Participants from different countries have brought their products, master classes, workshops and films. Handicrafts, weapons, clothes, food products and interesting events (such as master class on cooking Matvievsky borscht with fish, or a master class on making glass from artisans from the Czech Republic) - you'll find something to your liking.
