🇬🇪❤️ Giorgoba was celebrated in Tbilisi: the main celebration took place in the Sameba Cathedral.

Tsminda Sameba is located in the capital, on the hill of St. Elijah and is the second most important cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church after Svetitskhoveli in Mtskheta. This is a place where the townspeople come for all the big holidays. Memorial Day of St. George the Victorious, the patron and most revered saint of Georgia, of course, was no exception.

👨‍🎨 Italian street artist Vesod created a unique mural in Tbilisi.

The drawing on the wall of the house is located near the parking lot at the intersection of Lermontov and Tabidze streets in the Sololaki area.

ℹ️ The idea for the picture was the myth of Medea and Jason. A princess from the country of Eeta, the western Georgian kingdom of Colchis, a sorceress, the legendary founder of medicine and the beloved of Jason the Argonaut. Having fallen in love, she helped him take possession of the Golden Fleece, killed her own brother and fled with the Argonauts to Greece.

🇰🇪🌳🇬🇪 Kenya banned the export of baobabs - some of the trees were planned to be taken to Georgia.

After publications in the world media and outrage from environmentalists, the authorities terminated the license that allowed uprooting, transportation and export of baobabs. The statement is posted here.

According to BBC farmers in Kilifi district wanted to clear their land for growing corn, so they wanted to sell 8 baobabs to a Georgian entrepreneur (at a price from $800 to $2400) . Kenya's Minister of Environment and Forestry said the deals were halted and the baobabs should not be exported until their national status is recognized and agreements between the parties are legalized. The government's move follows environmental experts' concerns about "bio-piracy" over tree exports to Georgia.

ℹ️ In October, the UK Guardian reported that baobabs were placed in metal cages and are guarded by private security personnel while awaiting transportation.

🇬🇪🛢🇦🇿 Huge gas project: Georgia has returned to the development of a project to build an LNG terminal.

Economy Minister Davitashvili said that the unfreezing of the project was the main topic of the recent visit of Azerbaijani President Aliyev to Tbilisi. According to a Georgian official: “The Georgian authorities, in partnership with Azerbaijan, have begun developing a project to build a terminal for liquefied natural gas (LNG) for its subsequent export to the EU countries, the implementation of which was frozen in 2015. Georgia and Azerbaijan, together with Romania and Hungary, began discussing the terminal 7 years ago. The project involved the supply of gas from the Caspian Sea to Europe through Georgia, so the gas will be transformed into a liquid state on the territory of Georgia, and then gasified in Romania. Unfortunately, this project was stopped and had no further development. However, due to the current processes when Europe is particularly interested in alternative sources of gas supply, when everyone is talking about diversifying the energy supply, it has gained particular relevance and meetings of working groups have already begun.”
ℹ️ From the Georgian side, the oil and gas corporation is participating in the project, the Azerbaijani side is represented by the state oil company SOCAR. Azerbaijan and Georgia will be able to solve the issue with the expansion and construction of the missing sections of gas pipelines quite quickly, so it is expected that the project will be launched soon.
