🥳🎅🏼🎄 Winter Fair 2022 in Tbilisi.
On December 3rd, a small but very pleasant New Year's fair from diplomatic missions in Georgia will be held at Sheraton Metekhi Palace. Exhibition and sale of goods from different countries, a varied menu at the food court and a friendly holiday atmosphere. My family and I go there regularly and would recommend it.

The reason was the most severe artillery shelling by the Russian army near Bakhmut. Killed: Auto Rurua, Romeo Kvaratskhelia, Romeo Pichkhaya, Merab Aladashvili and Badri Markelia. Eternal memory to the fallen!
The President of Georgia offered official condolences to the families and friends of the victims.

🇹🇷📱🇬🇪 From Turkey to Georgia for .... iPhones.
Just the other day, I wrote that interest in Turkish online stores has grown among those living in the country, as there have been reports of traffic in the opposite direction.
❗️Citizens of Turkey come to Georgia en masse for the models of the latest iPhones. According to polls, people come to Adjara even from Istanbul. “Telephone” traffic even caused queues at the land border at the Sarpi checkpoint. According to statistics, iPhone prices in Turkey range from 30,000 to 57,000 liras ($1,600 to $3,000). In Batumi, such models can cost from $1,300, besides, buyers issue a return of value added tax at customs, receiving back 2-4 thousand liras ($100-200).
Also, visitors want to buy a phone right now, because in 2023, the fee for registering the IMEI of a phone brought from abroad will be increased from 3,000 to 6,000 lira ($ 300) .

❗️There is another political scandal in Georgia.
After 17 years of work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nata Koridze, the wife of Zurab Japaridze, one of the leaders of the opposition forces in Georgia, was fired. At the time of her dismissal, she served as Deputy Director of the Department of Security Policy and Euro-Atlantic Integration. According to Koridze, the official reason for her dismissal is the reorganization.
😲 Noteworthy is the reaction of the vice-speaker of parliament from the ruling party, Gia Volsky, who believes that family members of oppositionists cannot work where they will have access to state secrets.:
“She has access to secret information, of course, she cannot share this information with a person who daily acts against Georgia. I believe that one of the leaders of such actions is the leader of Girchi, Zurab Japaridze. I don't know if this is the motive for the dismissal. Apparently, there was some reason, because a representative of the family of such an oppositionist cannot work where she has access to secret information, ”he told reporters.

👶💃 Baby Boom in Sukhishvili National Ballet!
Five girls, members of the famous Georgian dance group, gave birth to .... five girls. The soloists, who have just come out of the maternity leave, join the team at New Year's concerts. All tickets there have already been sold and the ballet asks on its Facebook page, if they add another performance on December 29?

🇬🇪⚽️🥇 Dinamo Tbilisi became the Georgian Football Champion in 2022.
In the most difficult struggle, they won back the backlog from DInamo Batumi after the first half of the championship and took the gold. For the last three years, Dinamo from the capital and Adjara have been taking championships in rotation: 2020 - Tbilisi, 2021 - Batumi, 2022 Tbilisi. Should we expect revenge from the seaside team next season?
It is noteworthy that Lokomotiv Tbilisi dropped out of the top league, scoring only 8 points in 36 matches with a goal difference of 28:101. This is surprising, given that they recently, in European competitions, beat the strong Russian Dinamo.

👨🏻🔧 On December 10, from 14:00 to 18:00, Carreer Fest will be held at the Rooms Hotel in Tbilisi.
Job search event in Georgia. About 60 companies with active vacancies will be presented at the festival. Judging by the partners of the project, there will certainly be an IT segment from foreign companies and interesting local organizations. Anyone can enter, but first you must register.

🏺Not only Georgian wine, but also perfumes in Qvevri shaped bottles will soon appear in Georgia.
The limited edition bottles will go on sale in 2023. This is a joint project of Georgian designer Zviad Tsikolia (known for branded watches) and French perfumer Antoine Lie. Earlier, the Georgian master has already used the theme of an earthen vessel for wine. For example (on the photo), these were souvenirs in the form of a rocket or earrings with original elements.

🇬🇪❤️❄️ Snow in Tbilisi.
Rare footage for the Georgian capital. Although, it seems that in the last three winters, snow began to fall on Mtatsminda much more often than locals tell about it.
