For many years, on the Easter night, a man delivers everyone from the temple to home free of charge. This time he fell ill, but asked the doctors for permission. Here is what his daughter Tea Kechakmadze writes:
“My 83-year-old father didn’t break tradition. Despite the fact that he was only discharged from the hospital yesterday, he was able, with God's help, to serve the parish and celebrate the glorious Easter holiday! Free taxi all night at your service!”

The National Bank of Georgia has announced a tender for the development and the introduction of a fast payment system that will allow you to transfer funds between banks almost instantly at any time, on weekends and even holidays!
💰 The total cost of the project is 6 million euros and it will be covered from 85 million euros allocated by the World Bank.
🕐 It will take about 2 years to develop and implement the system. At the moment, the commission for transfers between local banks is 1-2 GEL, and the time for which funds arrive depends on the time of day and day of the week.

One of the most important roads in the city has been in need of repair for a long time and it was appointed for 2023. 28.4 million lari ($11 million) was allocated for the reconstruction. The plans of the city government include: installing new lighting, replacing asphalt, allocating a lane for public transport, landscaping the territory, and updating outdated underground gas and water communications.

🚫 Georgia cancels paid deferment from the army.
According to the new Defense Code adopted in the first reading, a deferment for a year could be purchased for 10,000 lari ($4,000) once during the entire period of military age. There will be no such amendment in the second reading either.
"Taking into account the existing disagreements about this article, so as not to give the impression of granting a possible privilege to financially wealthy persons, it was removed," the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
ℹ️ Now an 18-month deferral without any reason costs 2000 lari ($800), you can use it twice. The new Defense Code will come into force in 2025.

⛈ The Environmental Agency of Georgia warns of worsening weather in the next two days.
On April 21 and 22, rains with thunderstorms are expected in most parts of the country, snow in mountainous areas, hail is possible. There is a strong western wind in Batumi, Kobuleti and Poti, sea waves of 2-3 points. An increase in water in rivers is expected, and an increased threat of landslides and avalanches remains in mountainous areas.
