Metropolitan Hilarion of the Russian Orthodox Church sexually harassed his 18-year-old cell-attendant. A year later, the young man ran away and told about the clergyman's luxurious property in Europe
A former cell-attendant accused Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeyev), who was Patriarch Kirill's right-hand man, of sexualized harassment, writes Novaya Gazeta Europe.
In the summer of 2022, Hilarion, who was described as the second man in the Russian Orthodox Church, was sent to Hungary without explanation, appointed head of one of the Russian Orthodox Church's tiniest dioceses.
A few months later, Georgy Suzuki, an 18-year-old Orthodox youth from a Russian-Japanese family with whom Hilarion had been in correspondence, moved in with him and became his cell-attendant.

Metropolitan Hilarion of the Russian Orthodox Church sexually harassed his 18-year-old cell-attendant. A year later, the young man ran away and told about the clergyman's luxurious property in Europe A former cell-attendant accused Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeyev)…
According to Suzuki, Hilarion forced him to live together and sleep in the same bed, and threatened him with problems if they broke up. In January 2024, the young man managed to escape on the pretext of visiting a doctor - he took an expensive watch and €30 thousand from the Metropolitan's house and went to his family in Japan. For this, a criminal case was opened against him in Hungary.

The clergyman gave "Novaya Gazeta Europa" photos and audio recordings that confirm his words about threats from Alfeyev, and also show his luxurious life in Europe - the Metropolitan travels to ski resorts, does sailing and goes to expensive restaurants. In addition, the clergyman bought a 2,360-square-meter estate for €2.1 million in the suburbs of Budapest.

Stephan Lyashevsky and Prof. Lazar Milin, by the famous Romanian priest and theologian Dumitru Staniloae, and by Bishop Vasily (Rodzianko)."

Eastern "Orthodoxy" refuted by St. Augustine
Craig Truglia being dishonest once again. I am not surprised at all, since the guy is obviously a fraud who shamelessly corrupts the meaning of the text. Let's examine St. Augustine's thought. First off, St. Augustine is explaining how the word "principium" is applied to the divine persons. He first explains how principium is said of the three persons in relation to creatures, and yet it is not multiplied.

He says that principium is said of the Father in relation to the Son, and of the Trinity in relation to the creature; and, of the Father and the Son in relation to the Holy Spirit. There is no confusing of these three in St Augustine, but in the mind of polytheist Truglia.

So clearly, Augustine is showing how it's possible for two persons two be one principle of the hypostatic procession of the Holy Spirit without necessarily making them into two principles. That's what he is arguing, not that the Father and Son are principle of Spirit's sending!

Secondly, to make it clear that Augustine is speaking of the hypostatic procession of the Spirit from the Father and the Son, we can easily prove it by taking a look at the last book of St Augustine's De Trinitate. But before doing so, let's make it clear that the Eastern Orthodox doctrine teaches that the Holy Spirit receives His essence and existence from the Father alone, but he is nevertheless eternally manifested (whatever this means) & temporally sent from the Father through the Son.

On the contrary, the council of Florence says that the Spirit proceeds from both equally as from one principle, so he receives His being and essence from both, but nonetheless, he proceeds from the Father principally because the Father has spiration of himself (i.e., of no one).

So to make it clear:
☦️ For Blachernae:
- The Spirit receives being and essence from the Father ALONE, and not from or through the Son. But, He is eternally manifest and temporally sent from the Father through the Son.
🇻🇦 For Florence:
- The Spirit receives being and essence from both equally, but from the Father principally, since the Father has spiration of Himself, but the Son from the Father, thus, he alone is the fount of the entire Trinity. And he is obviously sent to the world by both.

Now what does St. Augustine say? He destroys the schismatic belief of the Greeks by confessing that the Holy Spirit receives His essence from both the Father and the Son which is directly against Blachernae which confesses it is from the Father alone. From De trint. 15, ch. 26.

As we can see clearly, St. Augustine is talking about the hypostatic procession ALONE and no eternal manifestation (which exists nowhere) or temporal mission. Why? Because he says just as the Father eternally begets the Son and gives him essence and this act is timeless so do the Father and the Son "without any beginning in time" give the divine essence to the Holy Spirit from all eternity. He then affirms the Latin doctrine by saying that the Spirit proceeds from the Father principally but equally from both.

How much clearer can he get? Is the eternal communication of the divine essence to the Holy Spirit a temporal mission or eternal manifestation? Ofc not. Let us revisit the doctrine of Blachernae which says communication of essence and being is from the Father ALONE

Therefore, St. Augustine teaches that the Holy Spirit receives His being and essence from all eternity from both, yet from the Father principally, confirming the exact same words of Florence. In fact, Florence is using Augustine WORD-FOR-WORD. Craig Truglia has written a billion articles on Augustine yet he has not been able to explain any of these. Indeed, he is a dishonest liar and knows that the communication of essence to the Spirit from both the Father and the Son refutes his beliefs, but he won't admit it. If any Eastern Orthodox says that the Holy Spirit has been communicated being and essence from all eternity from the Father and the Son, they automatically profess the Filioque. And the honest Eastern Orthodox have admitted that the Spirit has being and essence from Father alone!

Let us therefore compare Augustine with Blachernae and Florence one more time. First, Augustine teaches that the Father and the Son are hypostatic principle of the Spirit and eternally communicate the divine essence in a timeless act to the Holy Spirit.
