📌Consultancy opportunity alert! English Access Program Coordinator - Andijan Region (Buston district)

American Councils for International Education is a premier, international non-profit organization creating educational opportunities that prepare individuals and institutions to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world. Through academic exchanges, overseas language immersion, and educational development programs, American Councils has designed and administered innovative programs that broaden individual perspectives, increase knowledge and deepen understanding for more than 40 years across more than 80 countries.

The English Access Program (Access) is a student-centered program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Embassies that provides English language skills to underserved students (primarily 13-20 years old) worldwide through extracurricular classes and activities. Access provides participants with a foundation of English language, leadership and professional skills, and exposure to U.S. culture and democratic values that may lead to better jobs and educational prospects, including future exchanges and study in the United States. The Global Access Program has provided scholarships to more than 200,000 students in over 80 countries since its inception in 2004.

In Uzbekistan, the English Access Program has operated continuously since 2007, both as the English Access Program and as the English Access for STEM Program. American Councils currently serves as the primary implementing partner for the Access program in Uzbekistan.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the Access program in Buston district of Andijan region (School #23). This is a consultancy role; selected candidates will be placed on at-will consultancy agreements with American Councils.

Access Coordinators serve as a key liaison between an Access host institution, American Councils, the Regional English Language Office, and the U.S. Embassy Tashkent. Coordinators are responsible for supporting teachers and program participants and ensuring all Access-related programming at a site runs smoothly. They are the primary person responsible for overall management of each individual Access site.

Please note that this is a consultancy role; selected candidates will be placed on at-will consultancy agreements with American Councils.

Bugun “Xorijiy tillarni oʻqitish boʻyicha eng yaxshi maktab” tanlovining taqdirlash marosimini oʻtkazdik.

Mazkur tanlov qisqa muddatda ommalashib ulgurdi. Raqamlarga murojaat qilsak, 2023/2024 oʻquv yilida oʻtkazilgan tanlovda 6 442 ta maktabning 32 210 nafar oʻquvchisi qatnashgan. Oʻtgan davr mobaynida tanlovda 110 mingga yaqin oʻquvchilar oʻz bilimlarini namoyon etdi.

Oʻn minglab qorakoʻzlarimiz qamrab olingan tanlovning yakuniy final bosqichiga yetib kelishning oʻzi katta gʻalaba.

Gʻoliblar, bugungi kun qahramonlarimiz bilan tanishing:

1-oʻrin Jizzax viloyati, Jizzax shahri 22-maktab jamoasi,

2-oʻrin Namangan viloyati, Chortoq tumani 53-IDUM jamoasi,

3-oʻrin Toshkent shahri, 110-IDUM jamoasiga nasib etdi.

Gʻoliblariga medallar hamda egallagan oʻrniga mos ravishda 300 mln soʻm, 400 mln soʻm hamda 500 mln soʻmlik pul mukofotlari topshiriladi.

Shuningdek, Prezident sovgʻasi sifatida Respublika bosqichi barcha ishtirokchilari va ularning ustozlari, jami 84 nafar oʻquvchi va pedagoglar oʻz bilim va koʻnikmalarini rivojlantirish uchun xorijga taʼlim sayohatiga yuboriladi.

Shuni bemalol aytish mumkinki, ushbu tanlov sabab xorijiy tillarni oʻrganish jarayoni maktablarimizda umummilliy harakatga aylandi.

Yana bir quvonarli statistikani keltirsam, chet tilini bilish sertifikatiga ega boʻlgan maktab bitiruvchilari soni oxirgi ikki yilda 6 mingdan 18 ming nafarga yetdi.

Zulfikor Djumaev, a secondary school teacher from Uzbekistan, exemplifies American Councils' vision of educational excellence through his commitment to enhancing English language pedagogy.
In 2019, Mr. Djumaev became a Core Teacher Trainer in the English Speaking Nation: Secondary Teacher Trainer (ESN) program, a collaborative initiative between the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent and the Uzbekistan Ministry of Preschool and School Education (MoPSE) that was implemented by American Councils. The ESN program provided intensive professional development opportunities for English language public school teachers throughout the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Mr. Djumaev’s completion of the 140-hour TESOL Core Certification program highlights his dedication to continuous learning and his passion for teaching. Within the ESN program, Mr. Djumaev played a pivotal role in advancing the skills of teachers in his region. He conducted numerous training sessions for educators in the Surkhandarya region, enhancing their pedagogical expertise and enabling them to pursue various professional development opportunities.
Mr. Djumaev’s influence extended beyond Surkhandarya. He played a key role in organizing the ESN Silk Road Conferences, which brought together hundreds of teachers from different regions of Uzbekistan. Thanks to the collective efforts of Mr. Djumaev and other Core Teacher Trainers, the ESN program had a positive impact on over 18,000 educators throughout the country.
In addition to his involvement in the ESN program, Mr. Djumaev participated in the Tajikistan Secondary School English Teachers Professional Development Program, co-delivering a course aimed at improving the student-centered pedagogical skills of teachers in Tajikistan.
Reflecting on his experience with American Councils and the ESN program, Mr. Djumaev notes, "The program has significantly impacted both my professional activities and personal life. I hope it continues to support projects focused on teacher training and professional development."
