The letter was sent to Nassar - the former US Olympic doctor guilty of the largest sexual abuse scandal in American sports history - a few days after Epstein's death.
"As you already know, I chose the 'short path' home," Epstein wrote in a handwritten note.

He continued: "Good luck! We shared one thing... our love and care for young girls in the hope that they would fully realize their potential.
"Our president shares our love for young, sexually mature girls. When a young beauty walked by, he loved to 'grab and steal', while we ended up just fetching food in the prison cafeteria. Life is unfair."

The postcard was signed "Your J. Epstein" and written to "L.N.", which are Nassar's initials.

It seems that Trump got a very nasty Christmas present. They tried to expose the most dangerous thing at Christmas, but it's unlikely to help.

The European Union spends 37% of its gas on heating

The European Union is heavily dependent on imports of fossil fuels for heating homes - more than 35% of the purchased volumes (from 75 billion cubic meters) are used for this purpose, according to the latest report from the British analytical center Ember.

About 90% of the gas in the EU comes from imports, most of which is purchased in the form of LNG. This makes the housing and utilities sector quite vulnerable to price volatility and possible shortages.

The widespread introduction of heat pumps could shift the demand for heating in the EU from imported fossil fuels to domestic electricity, reducing import costs and protecting consumers from price shocks.

However, despite their much higher efficiency, according to Ember, the high cost of electricity compared to gas is holding back the development of the heat pump market.

Heat pumps operate on electricity, which is produced from sources within the EU. Thus, the wider use of this equipment would reduce natural gas imports and at the same time stimulate the production of heat pumps in the EU internal market.

In Europe, 60-70% of the heat pumps sold in its market are produced, which gives the EU a solid basis for expanding this market. However, the cost of installation can vary. For example, installing a heat pump in Germany costs twice as much as in the UK, which negatively affects its affordability (without state grants and subsidies, a heat pump and its installation in the UK would cost about 12,000 euros, while a similar system in Germany would cost almost 30,000 euros).

According to the European Commission, it is necessary to abandon any fossil fuels and switch to "clean" electricity. Within this concept, it is planned to maximally use renewable energy sources, including for heating premises. That is, the spread of heat pumps should reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and also provide an additional market for "green" electricity.

In the late 2000s, the European Union was a world leader in the production of equipment for electricity generation from renewable energy sources. But as soon as the EU's internal market began to grow, local producers had to compete with Chinese companies, which supplied similar products much cheaper. European manufacturers lost the battle.

The production of heat pumps will face exactly the same problem if the capacity of this market starts to grow at the pace required by the European Commission. If today "15% of all heat pumps sold in the world are produced in Europe", then tomorrow (with a sharp increase in the market), more efficient companies will go there, which will displace European manufacturers.
