🇷🇴 Patriarch Daniel: All socio-medical care is of Christian origin

In his last Sunday’s sermon, Patriarch Daniel recalled that the first medical institutions, both in Romania and Europe, were established by the Church. His Beatitude highlighted that the palliative care specific to the Church also involves prayer in addition to the medical act.

“The first monastery hospitals (bolnițe), the first hospitals and pharmacies in Romania and, in general, in Orthodox countries were established by the Church.”

“In each of these settlements, prayer was united with medical science – prayer, as help received from God, with the wisdom of those who were called to perform this medical service,” His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel noted at the Chapel of Saint George at the Patriarchal Residence.

🇺🇦 Ukraine’s Parliament to consider bill abolishing anti-Orthodox discrimination

A bill calling for the repeal of the discriminatory laws against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has been officially registered in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament).

During Poroshenko’s time as head of state, several laws were put into place that attempt to provide a legal foundation for schismatics to seize churches and territories from the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church and to force the renaming of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church into the “Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine”—thereby attempting to paint the Church as but an arm of the “aggressor state,” as Ukraine considers Russia.

On July 30, the Rada registered draft law No. 5835, “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Concerning the Activities of Religious Organizations and Ensuring the Constitutional Right of Citizens to Freedom of Worldview and Religion,” which aims to undo the state-sanctioned persecution, reports the Information-Education Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

With regard to the vaccines all the cowards and morons are already hooked and vaxxed. Fear isn’t a good enough motivator for a substantial amount of the population. Now it’s just about finding your price.

Even those who swore they never would get vaxxed will have the pressure really put on them now, and it’ll go beyond cash incentives (though that will be a part of it.) What does your freedom to function in society, feed your children, hold down a job, finish your doctorate or stay within the walls of civilization cost?

🇭🇺 Hungary orders shops to cover up LGBT-themed children's books

Hungary ordered bookshops on Friday to cover up children's books seen as promoting homosexuality, stepping up restrictions that have set Prime Minister Viktor Orban on a collision course with rights groups and the European Union.

The decree also included books seen as promoting gender change and containing "explicit" depictions of sexuality. It told shops to sell them separately and banned any sale of them at all within 200 metres of a school or a church.

🇷🇺 Crimean monastery severely damaged by downpour and mudslide (+VIDEO)

Sts. Cosmas and Damian Monastery in Crimea suffered severe damage on Wednesday evening as a result of torrential downpours.

The resulting mudslide that came down from the mountains brought with it fragments of trees, stones, and clay, and the river passing through the territory of the monastery overflowed its banks, and the road was washed away, the monastery reports.

The feast of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God gathered thousands of Orthodox Ukrainians from across the country and a host of hierarchs and clergy at Holy Dormition-Pochaev Lavra yesterday, headed by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine.

The Ukrainian primate celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Lavra’s Holy Transfiguration Cathedral together with 24 hierarchs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, reports the Information-Education Department of the Ukrainian Church.
