En Venezuela se llevará a cabo, por primera vez en su historia, la ceremonia de marcha del Regimiento Inmortal, una manifestación popular que se realiza anualmente en Rusia para conmemorar a los caídos en la Gran Guerra Patria y el Día de la Victoria de la Unión Soviética sobre la Alemania nazi.
La marcha del Regimiento Inmortal es una manifestación popular que se convoca cada 9 de mayo en el contexto del Día de la Victoria. La acción consiste en la salida a las calles de personas que muestran retratos de sus familiares fallecidos durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial o Gran Guerra Patria, como se conoce en Rusia.
"Asistirán compatriotas rusos, miembros de la asociación de egresados de universidades rusas y soviéticas, así como representantes de las autoridades venezolanas, activistas de organizaciones juveniles y del movimiento antifascista", detalló la Embajada.

🕯 An Orthodox priest Father Parfeniy (Parthnenis), the head of the church in Mikhailovka, who gained renown for his humanitarian efforts as well as sheltering refugees, was killed in a shelling by the Ukrainian Army.
A caring and pious ecclesiastic, he died from a shrapnel wound while the settlement was under fire from Ukranian MLRS on May 3.
This is what he told the media in an interview not long before his demise 👇
💬 Apparently, they [Ukrainian military and nationalists] intended not to defend the city, but to destroy it.
And they did so deliberately, with quite the success.
There is simply no other explanation.
They were shelling the city from Metyolkino. There were no Russian troops or any Lugansk militia there at the time.
So the shelling can be regarded as a sort of gunning down the entire city.
I think their priority is to destroy the infrastructure, so that’s why they’re targeting schools.

The idea to erect the memorial was conceived in 1966 on the 25th anniversary of the Nazis’ defeat in the Battle of Moscow. Ashes of Soviet soldiers killed in action outside Zelenograd were buried in the Alexander Garden on December 3 of the same year.
📃 Presidential Executive Order of November 17, 2009 granted the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier the status of a National Memorial of Military Glory in order to preserve its historical cultural legacy for the peoples of the Russian Federation. It was included in the state register of especially valuable cultural heritage sites of the peoples of the Russian Federation.

On the occasion of the 77th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent messages of greetings to the leaders and people of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, the Donetsk People's Republic, the Lugansk People's Republic, as well as the peoples of Georgia and Ukraine.
