Common Mistakes in English
🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸
Use Of The Wrong Tense

🗂Using the past tense instead of the past perfect .
Don’t say : The train already left before I arrived
Say : The train had already left before I arrived .

⭐️ Use the past perfect when the time of one past action is more past than that of another . Put the action which was completed first in the past perfect and the past tense .

🛑Note ; Don’t use the present tense and the past perfect in the same sentence. It would be incorrect to sat ; My brother says that he had not gone to the cinema last night .

🔰which word is grammatically wrong? 🔅(The most) significant cosmological characteristic of Duke Ellington's orchestra, playing his original (compositions) and arrangement, (achieving) a (fine) unity of style and made numerous innovations in (modern) jazz.…
The answer is 🆎ACHIEVED

⭕️every side of the word “And” should be parallel. because after “and” we have the word “made” which is the past form of MAKE, so the word “Achieving” should be used in its past form ACHIEVED.
